Zarya’s bubble can already remove Mei’s freeze and Ana’s anti-heal debuffs from allies. If the players think the cast time for hack is too fast to react to, then let Zarya’s bubble remove hack from allies as well.
I think that Sombra needed her buffs and that this would be better than just nerfing her.

I understand, but Zarya’s bubble can remove other debuffs that are similar to hack after their application. It’s just a bit of counter-play, so I think it would be okay.

3 abilities that can either prevent or negate it, same as EMP.
At first I thought this was a great idea, but then I started thinking.
If Sombra gets into a position where she hacks an impending ultimate, and her team engages on that, but then Zarya bubbles the ally and they can then instantly use their ultimate – who should get rewarded in this situation, Sombra, or Zarya?
Sombra has to spend cooldowns to get into a hackable position without being compromised. She leaves herself vulnerable (especially to crowd control like Sleep Dart) while approaching for a hack. Sombra also has to decide who the highest value hack target is, and she has to time the hack right so that her team can properly engage.
I don’t think it would be fair if Zarya could reactively negate all of that decision making with a panic E, and have that ally able to ult right away. I think this effect would be comparable to resurrect and it would be disproportionately rewarding for Zarya.
How does transcendence or icewall counter it ? EMP disables abilities ,you should’ve had it applied on mei and zen.

Just hack Zarya first and then EMP everybody.
Zarya has 200 shield health which EMP removes. Zarya is a free kill with her big hitbox and no cooldowns with only 200hp.
Right now once you’re hacked, there is not much you can do, so a way to react to it would be welcomed.
Zarya fell out of favor a little, this would also help her out in coming back to meta a bit.
it already counters emp. plus her fiendly bubble is up so often shed have to kill zarya before attempting to hack anybody.
i like the idea but it sounds like thatd be really strong unless bubble was up less.
Off topic but kinda on topic, zarya bubble gains no charge from moiras damage orb when in my opinion it should
I can see the logic behind this. I mean it already works this way with just about every other non-stun status effects (Discord, Freezing.)
Transcendence doesn’t counter it. It counters follow-up damage but that is not the same thing, imo.
Well if there’s an Ice Wall in the way when you use EMP, unlike shields it actually stops the EMP progressing. And the same as Death Blossom there is usually some setup to EMP, meaning you can easily just pop ult and call out when you see her drop in.

I guess if mei sees you coming ,it can work.

Both Of Zarya’s bubbles are on a longer cooldown than A. The cooldown of hack, and B. The duration of hack or EMP.
Seems to me if Zarya could remove hacked status, Sombra would just have to wait till the projected barrier gets used. The time between the 2 second bubble dissapearing and it coming off cooldown is six seconds. Meaning there is a completely safe window to hack/emp with no chance of Zarya countering it.
Besides, it would be nice to see Zarya out and about. I would imagine her pick rate would jump compensating for all the new abilities Sombra can hack, like poor Lucio’s aura.
But um, mayhaps we should wait and see how Sombra pans out first. Her changes have only been live for a day.
