Let torb "Select" the target for his Turret

Lmao
Is this the excuse when you can’t aim as projectile?
Torb’s skill comes in hitting shots just like every other character, you hit the one you want he’s now targeted

But remember
It’s low skill guys

Where is that written?

An even better solution

Torb has an unused button on his kit

Forge hammer: secondary fire

no its a “Meh my hero is skilled and thats why he is allowed to be broken, but you need more skill to have an ounce of usability” argument

except all of the melee heros, spam heros and genji/hanzo who rely on broken mechanics bloated kits and luck spam

the fact he was in the defense catigory of heros when the game released and he is based on tf2’s engineer which is an area denial hero… that and his play style?.. duh…

Like legit just give an alt fire to his hammer,

Some sort of hammer throw

It could deal like 50dmg and make the turret focus that target

As well as allow torb to repair his turret from afar

or shooting his turret with rivets to repair it, that would be cool

rescue ranger style

You could do that too and just make the alt fire the little turret orb

Torb’s and Hanzo’s projectiles are actually the same size. Both are 0.2m

in practice, they are not… i get hit in the leg from an arrow and it counts as a headshot, i shoot the neck with a rivet and it doesn’t register at all…

Left click does it and is part of torbs skill.
As things go this kind of buff would only raise his already high skill floor and do nothing to help him in higher ranks where he struggles.

skill requirement too high for too low of a reward

he doesn’t have a high skill floor, he is a low skill hero, always has been, always will be… stop being a “skill elitist”

no one cares about torb in higher ranks, because no one plays him there, they will never play him there because they are all “High skill elitists” who shun heros like torb

Ah. Now I know that I want torb changed.

Ok buddy :+1::ok_hand::lips::ok_hand::+1:

“Was” is a keyword there. Besides he still does rather well in defense. Being based on a tf2 engineer (whether that’s officially true or not) doesn’t mean 100% adherence to it just like movies that are “based on a true story” aren’t historical documentaries. Thing is his turret has 100% accuracy and very good range and sure it’s easy to destroy but it’s also autonomous which so as it stands is rather good to add the ability would start making it too good. Sure at times it will shoot sheilds but even then it is contributing to the taking down of the sheild.

Keep in mind I play mostly torb on dps and as much as i would personally like the feature it’s a tad bit too much

How so? Wanna explain?

Agree

If we have to make it like discord it should only fire at a discorded target at that is imho bad. Keep it original and don’t make it too similar to others,

I also like the rules we have which give him a pretty healthy skill celling with a auto aim turret. His rework was amazing, pushing more power to the player/hero

But honestly i’m not sure blizzard mentions it that it focuses what you hit last, then goes by LoS. Would be neat if they did. And added numbers

A bit problematic to implement considering torb needs to see the target and what it will shoot first…

If they already go with buffing the turret ai you can go for something more consistent like focusing the lowest hp target (doesn’t have to hit at all as 150 hp<200hp<any tank hp but if someone is low it will focus it first) or focusing what closest target to the turret.

Either way adding a selection option will just be a bit messy in my opinion, especially when torb dies or when a target plays with los in order to bait the turret.

I think they should remove his turret.

An auto aim entity does not have a place in a PvP game, it would be only acceptable maybe as an ultimate.

Maybe bring back the level 3 turret as ultimate but remove the always available turret completely.

but then genji mains like yourself would really have free reign

I never play genji, too complicated for me.
And I am also not so stupid to “main” a single hero and only play a fraction of the whole game I bought.
