Mei is presently one of the characters entering next season as a good dps with alt fire and excellent cc but she was given low mobility for that reason. In the present meta if the character is not able to get back fast enough they loose a lot of value what if her primary fire freezes the ground which she can move faster on? She sacrifices using her pistol instead for it.

Actually, this seems like a cool idea.
Use her primary fire on the ground to lay ice for .5 seconds, providing her with faster mobility.

Not sure how I feel about Mei being Iceman.
I hate a good mei too but she will have to constantly watch the floor and waste ammo maybe its equalized?

As you like it. When I think of the ability that the OP mentioned the one that comes to mind is Iceman. He’s been doing that sort of thing since 1963.

shrugs, of the people in that group of mutants, the ones that people will likely remember the most would be wolverine, cyclops, magneto, professor X, gambit, storm, nightcrawler, rogue, jean grey.
As much as I like iceman, hes just not as big as the others popularity wise.
Heck of the ice themed heroes and villains people are more likely to remember mr.freeze over iceman.

Mei is one of my favorite characters and I really do think this could be a good idea because more then anything its frustrating walking back from spawn at the pace of a retarded snail just to get 1 shot by a widow.

That likely depends on your perspective. Iceman was one of the original X-Men along with Cyclops, Angel, Marvel Girl and the Beast. Being in issue number one is about as iconic as it gets.
Did you know that Wolverine didn’t even debut in X-Men? He didn’t even show up in the series until the mid 1970’s. Now you do.
I agree and I suggested this as a potential passive for her. It would be so cool to see her skate on the ice like she does in the highlight!

well yes, he was there at the beginning, its just he didn’t garner a humongous fanbase unlike wolverine. If you asked the average joe on the street who angel or marvel girl was they probably wouldn’t know unless they were into comic books back then. Ask someone who wolverine is they would likely be able to tell you.

I would hope that you’d know who Marvel Girl was. They didn’t start calling her Jean for about a decade.
