I’m complaining…

I’m from the UK and ever since I started playing Overwatch (maybe a few months after its release), I’ve been playing on NA… It’s just better. Now, even when I’m playing with friends from NA, it forces us onto EU servers 100% of the time, it’s ridiculous. It just kills the experience for both of us.

Literally no one wants this, including myself. I know there’re a few other posts about this, but I feel like the only way to make our point known is to make another.

I don’t see how this helps anyone. Those who want to play on another region just select it from the Battle.net client, and those who don’t care just play as they are. But now it’s been completely taken it out of our control.

Please… at least give us the option for global matchmaking or something…

Same, also a user from UK who had been on NA servers for many years.

People keep saying VPN is an option, but a VPN actually gives you higher ping as you have to connect to the VPN server first lol

Not only that for me personally a few games I play forbid the use of a VPN and they can ban you, it just takes one time for me to accidentally forget…

And also £60 a year for a VPN for a game that costs £12.99 and then the fact it was a feature for FIVE YEARS and was stripped from us without even a word.

No he’s saying he didn’t want to be forced on EU when he wants to play on NA

he said he played NA servers from UK and he’s saying nobody asked for this change to be added.

I’m not sure if I’ve read your reply wrong, but to clarify:

I’m saying that no one wants forced global matchmaking. I also play on NA servers, I rarely play on EU.

Still wrong then. I like it.

Mixes up the lobbies and games. New voices,new friends, new challenges.

I wouldn’t say that at all. All it’s doing is slightly mixing up the current state of the community that you’re playing with. Once it settles, unless you’re constantly moving house between countries, you’ll basically be locked to that region’s servers. Maybe with a small exception of off-peak hours, or low-pop regions.

Also, to further clarify something: I’m against being forced to use open-region matchmaking. I dislike the fact that I don’t have a choice anymore.

Sounds like a you problem to me.

Just embrace it and move on. You getting annoyed about it won’t change it.

Just causing yourself more grief than it’s worth.

And IF you hate it that much, there are plenty of other things to do.

I dislike a part of something I enjoy, so just forget about it and find something else to do. Sounds like a great solution. I’m sure Blizzard/Overwatch would have an infinitely large community if this is what they told everyone to do…

It’s a new feature and they’re literally asking for community feedback. This is my feedback. I’m not the only one who has this opinion.

Region lock is terrible for Console overall and they added it to PC thinking it was a terrific idea. Overall, it’s terrible. They actually could’ve probably still have freedom to choose which region even with cross play

It is exactly what most people do. Don’t enjoy something… Go do something you do enjoy.
