Let Dva voluntarily eject from her mech

It would be neat if Dva had the ability to eject/re-mech at will (a la Titanfall).
Voluntarily ejecting would send Dva’s mech
up into the sky in a reverse version of her “call mech” animation.

Her pilot form would probably need a secondary fire or ability, but the 150hp should stay as-is.

And to make it really interesting, voluntarily de-meching could send Dva’s mech back to Busan for repairs. In other words, the mech would passively regen health while Dva is in pilot form. Nothing too crazy, maybe 10-15hp per second.

The question is… why though?

Baby d.va actually does more damage then regular d.va so i could see this having value specifically if you needed more damage to knock something down but it would still be stupid dangerus… however it would be a nice ability to say unlock in training vs hard ai so you can target practice with the gun too

The Bunny Blaster is more accurate than the Fusion Cannons and it doesn’t have falloff.
Her hitbox and critbox are also way smaller.

Pilot mode has it’s advantages.

You got a button/inputmethod for this?

As-is, maybe “reload” to eject from the mech and “shift” to summon the mech in pilot form.

Though I wouldn’t mind if Dva got a rework that replaced micro-missiles with this ability

Huh, you’re right, reload isn’t used.

Maybe make it a triple press of reload

Similar to punching out on Titanfall

I see this suggestion a lot and honestly I’d prefer a more simple buff than something this complex-- and something that can easily be used as a throw tool

Blizz seems to be getting pretty zealous about detecting and banning throwers.

It would be pretty easy for them to detect how much time a player voluntarily spent outside their mech when looking into a report against them.
