I would love it if Blizzard decided to troll the forums by having voicelines that people here say all the time.

  • every character in this game is so broken!
  • they need to buff my mech
  • I’m so much better than my rank
  • That last balance patch was trash

And so on

I think that heroes breaking the fourth wall in making remarks about patches would be pretty funny. I don’t think it would be practical to implement, but it would be funny.

Well she can actually reference the games she plays, thus keeping the context generic but talk like forum gamers

Well, to clarify, I was referring to specific balance patches. Pulling the VAs into the studio every two weeks or so is going to be impractical, but doing what you suggest and making the remarks general would be pretty great, and doable.

Since D.Va was canonically a gamer herself, it’s not even necessarily breaking the fourth wall, it would be like a girl, within a video game fictional universe, who is employed by the military, and views her work as if it was a video game. So meta. Layers, man. Such layers, much originality.

She already does this with “nerf this”. But I think it’s more that blizzard is trolling dva players at this point, as the sacrificial lamb that represents the community they want to troll.
