What are you saying? Of course there is. From the game menu options, just like Call of Duty does.
Also, on cod, you can’t go into a game with a mouse and keyboard input, and just change it to controller mid-game or vice-versa. Which would also be a perfect solution for people who would certainly try to enter a geme with a controller and change it to m&k midgame.
you can literally just grab from the configuration file what kind of input the player chose and use that as a parameter to filter the matches. That is actually very simple to do…
Once again, there is no valid excuse for not doing so.
You can sill use a keyboard with controller inputs.
What you don’t seem to be understanding is the consoles DO HAVE NATIVE MOUSE AND KEYBOARD SUPPORT. no adapters, no 100 dollar third party input emulator sh*t, the machines just have the support.
They wouldn’t have to do anything, except letting it be used on the game
You are just asking for official K&M settings?
yeah paying for an adapter. I bet you that most people would rather just plug their mouse and keyboard on the USB ports of their consoles instead of paying extra for a thing that is just an emulator and doesn’t even work properly.
Giving the native support would make it so that people who want to use m&k wouldn’t need to to go after those strategies to do so, the number of people doing so would go down instead of increasing, how can’t you guys see that? You keep bringing up pointless reasons why using m&k on console would be “bad” or even saying that issues with people emulating the inputs would go up, which is the absolute opposite of the truth.
Obviously there are people who get this adapters just to have an advantage upon people using controllers. But the majority of people who do so is just because they want to use a mouse and a keyboard to play their games, and the publisher just won’t let them do it even though it is possible.
So yeah, to me whoever uses those at the current state of the game is absolutely right in doing so. It is just sad that in order for people to play the way they want to they have to reoccur to such ridiculous strategies

Obviously, why would I ask them to just regulate third party adapters, that makes no sense. The consoles have official support, blizzard just has to use it

Really?! I did not know that! And yeah, I do have consoles. I even have a PS5.
Is it just a matter of not every game supporting it then?
I have tried a few different adapters… yes they all work terrible, cheap
and more expensive ones, it’s like playing with a broken controller. I actually bought one because people on this forum complain enemy widowmakers kill them one shot too easily. Oh well, my aim with widow is around 50% on PC and is about 10% with this adapter on console… it is really useless and worse than any controller. I really wish it was possible to have native support for keyboard and mouse on console, because I’m not so good with controllers…
Not going to happen. Those devices emulate a controller almost perfectly; and companies like Sony endorse it. They sell an officially licensed mouse/keyboard peripheral.
It’s amazing to me that despite being ActiBlizz that Blizzard is behind the Call of Duty devs on this.
Im pretty sure i have read that some games on console were able to detect and “punish” such users, despite peripherals being supported for console.
If the game publisher wants his games be played without keyboard and mouse, and obviously they have the techniques to detect, then those players need to be punished.
Not that, it ever happened even though Jeff himself stated, he does not want console OW be played with KB / M.
So in the end, my words are empty, and my thoughts about it are meaningless when Blizzard does not put effort to make his own game balanced for all players…
yeah. It is literally all up to the developer use the support or not. Cause it is there, it has been ever since the ps4 actually. And with the PS5 it is even better. Try playing call of duty with m&k on your ps5. It works flawlessly
