Let Baptiste do auto reload when he tries to fire while empty

I want to turn off auto-reload, but I don’t always think to manually press R. If I try to fire when I’m empty, I just get a click. Let that be a reload! Just a simple quality of life thing, thanks

How Ive worded it is:

I want what I call "Semi-auto reload"

Basically, what this does is when you are empty on only one set of ammo (say, grenades), it does NOT auto reload, but when you are empty on both sets of ammo, it DOES auto reload.

infinite heal grenades for Baptiste since I’m so inaccurate with them.

isnt this how it works currently? O.o I’m pretty sure you can’t be at 0 ammo on both and not autoreload O.o

How it currently works now, is you can set one of two options:

  1. Auto Reload ON. This will automatically reload baptiste’s weapon whenever either ammo hits 0.

  2. Auto Reload OFF. Baptiste’s weapon will NOT auto reload, at all, even when one or both ammos hit 0. It is Manual Reload Only.

What I’m proposing is a third option i call “Semi-auto Reload”. In this option, the weapon will NOT Auto reload if only one type of ammo is at 0. But will auto reload if both ammo types are at 0.

So, for example, with this setting, you could fire all your grenades and it wont auto reload on you. But, once you fire all your bullets, as well, it will auto reload, like how other weapons work in the game.

Makes sense to me.

Something like this should be an option in the Hero specific options.

Yes, it should. Right now we only have that simple Auto Reload ON and OFF option. Its just not enough. Not when you have a single weapon with 2 ammo capacities

Baptiste:

  • Biotic Launcher

    • “Semi-auto Reload” option in hero specific options
    • The weapon will NOT Auto reload if only one type of ammo is at 0.
    • The weapon will auto reload if both ammo types are at 0.

Here, why not copy this, then make a topic new post about it.

I still have a hard time believing you can walk around with 0 ammo on both ._. guess I’ll have to test it myself, seems so useless

Indeed you can do that too. And i think so too. Now, I’m sure there are people who enjoy the manual only reload option. And I don’t want to take it away from them, I just want to add a new one.

I did. Thank you.
