When I press shift sometimes the mouse cursor will appear on screen. I’ll be unable to look around, I’ll keep firing, and the shift action will be activated over and over again.
Seems to happen most when I play Pharah.
edit:
This happened today when I was in a comp game after playing several games of QP as Pharah. IDK how to replicate this bug. This happened to me the other day in QP several times. Closing the game and restarting my PC did not work
Having the exact same issue since today. This has never happened in all these years of playing Overwatch. I can press shift, L ctrl, R ctrl, alt, any of those buttons make the mouse appear. What the actual hell is going on?
I’m not an expert, but it may be that Overwatch is losing “focus” to another application or process that is not being pulled to the front. Or it could be a process that doesn’t have a window, so there’s nothing to pull to the front. I’d try downloading and running a Windows Focus Logger and check if another process took focus from Overwatch the next time your mouse pointer appears.
I had an issue on my new machine, and it didn’t start right when it was new. It started after some Windows update, and I disabled the process permanently that was stealing focus. Mine actually alt-tabbed out of Overwatch for me if I recall correctly, but it could be the same type of issue.
