Ive tried to enjoy this game again. I uninstalled for a year and then came back cause ppl said oh there changing thing. So came back, and its even worse. There are more ppl throwing and feeding games then ever before. There is no way to climb rank unless theres a gm friend on team. If not get use to cheaters and feeders! I try to enjoy the game again but its impossible. You win you get 4 or 5% rank increase. You lose you gwt 22 - 33% decrease. Its not worth it. And to think this game won game of the year once. But just once and now we know why.

I was gone for a year, decided to give OQ a shot again as I was always a fan of it.
QP Times were longer than Competitive.
When I got a Comp game, every lobby had the same players, just a different mix on the teams.
It was either steamrolling or get steamrolled, felt like a strong 50/50.
Let’s just say, I don’t really enjoy that anymore.
Also it seems like they got rid of competitive Lucioball? Yeah they just want me to go away I suppose.
Can’t climb unless you’re boosted suggests you’re at your peak and need to improve.

Given what you’ve claimed is wrong… I doubt, as you’re utterly clueless.
Its bad. Its VERY bad. The people managing this game have no idea what they are doing. They say stuff in the patch notes but it doesn’t mean anything when the competitive experience in this game is absolutely terrible. I literally just lost 5 comp matches in a row, and every time I lose it felt like the game was overtly punishing me for losing. There is no reward for playing comp in this game. It just feels like its designed to frustrate you and waste your time.

If they did then the match making would be better. Its terrible. The ranking system in this game is terrible. It barely rewards wins and dramatically punishes losses. What incentive is there to play a game like that? They clearly don’t know what they are doing.
It matches 10 numbers together. It is so in offensive I don’t get why people get so upset over it.
Their issues are how MMR is calculated and how quickly it adjusts. The Match Maker isn’t involved in that.
Rank system… don’t care. I just play and try to win. Don’t need a pat on the head after.
Because matches are fun with friends.

You can dislike the game, or just not find it fun… but they clearly know what they are doing. You don;t have a game last this long, with this many people playing it without having at least a slight clue what you are doing lol.

Consider posting some games where you felt you played well, but still lost. Those are the best games to get some feedback on ways you can improve and beat the people at your rank.
Both your team and the enemy team are matched for your skill level. When you get better, you’ll win more games by tipping the balance in your team’s favor.
You are not your rank. Enjoying improving at any rank is the way to have a fun game and also climb.
It isn’t me that can’t climb.
This is the most B.S.ive heard in a long time. You can not climb in rank if you lose and blizzard gives you a -33% decrease. But yet you lead as tank in kills mit damage and every thing else. So you keep playing and win lets say 2 or 3 games in a row. Blizzard only gives you the % back that you lost from 3 games so all in all its like you have to win 5 games in a row just to replace where you first started. Its so not fun or worth playing if blizzard is just going to say f u we dont care if you try. We are going to make you feel like your sh!t
Maybe post one of those games where you think you did great and still lost. Stats are not everything. If you were expected to win and lost, you’ll lose more points. If you’re losing and gaining 20+% each game it probably hasn’t fully calibrated you either.
This sounds like youre in the threshold between two ranks and are going into and out of demotion protection.

I’m not going to totally jump on board with “I can’t win without gm friend”. That’s a little ridiculous. But I will say the grind required for competitive is too much and I hope one day they adjust that in recognition that most people simply don’t have that kind of time to put into the game.
You were playing this game in March so… Not sure about anything you are claiming >< Sounds like you just need to find a new game tbh…
