…BLIZZARD’S GOD AWFUL MATCHMAKING DOES!
Dont want me to leave a match? Then stop putting me on teams where Im one of only one or two that has more kills than deaths and we are up against a team with all double K/D ratio. FFS, FIX THIS SH!T!

Below is a typical team chat.
Me: Can we get a Moira on Genji
ANON: Bro its just qp
Me: But he is rolling us
ANON2: Shut up, stop typing and play
If I stand in spawn they will report me. If I quit they will report me. If I keep getting killed by Genji they will report me. It’s like they care but don’t care at the same time.
I kind of agree. The queues for QP are so short, they need to tighten up the matchmaking range.
I’d like to see maturity based matchmaking instead of skill based matchmaking. Put the toxic, the quitters, the throwers, the cheaters, and the blamers in a special queue, just for them. Let the adults play the other adults. Win win.
You still have to sort that all out too.
Cheaters are way worse than quitters.
If you think quitters are as bad as cheaters. um… yeah no comment. I think someone hacking the game is significantly worse than someone that up and leaves a match.
Sorry not everyone wants to sit there and put up with team mates that are not going to play, nor do they want to sit there and listen to pointless banter and nobody does anything except rage type.
What we need is a player performance rating for Quickplay match making.
0 - Cheaters.
1 - beginners.
2 - habitual leavers. / Idle players
3 - Moderate leavers.
4 - Mild leavers.
5 - Casual Gamers.
6 - dedicated gamers.
7 - Hardcore competitive gamers.
How to get reported and just blocked from playing the game at all because you had a temper tantrumn because “the game didn’t give me a win” waah waah.
Well you know. whats to stop them, “a ban?”
They just gonna go make another account.
So the first time they lose out on their collection.
repeated offenses from the same location, can get you IP/hardware banned in the long run.
Pirate software a former blizz employee mentioned that said users are put on a list, and their whole account and any count associated with them are almost always under scrutiny.
They have your IP and hardware info, it’s not hard to hit you again. you have zero anonymity in that regard.
The only reason they don’t is because they want to keep the friendly fire low. And not nuke family accounts or house holds if they don’t have to.
A whole hour and this post is still up this is a record usually blizzard you know what riders would flag posts like this into oblivion
They can do hardware bans all the way and that fun stuff. But Savvy disruptive players always find ways around it.
We have so much on the market to circumvent stuff, including hardware id hacks to the windows folder that even the most determined disruptive people still find a way around it.
I mean, when people are willing to spend 20,000 on software to cheat and even go the route of using Nitric Acid to open chips up just to screw with them, or buy new chips and solder them to computer boards, there is nothing that stands in the way of someone. PERIOD.
I’ll just be honest with you, my buddy use to solder new chips to his xbox each time he was console banned, and he still got onto the network.
then they still get you because yuo used the same GPU.
That and theirs nothing stopping them from marking your specific launcher when it connects.
for every way their is to avoid such their is like their are several ways for blizz to still find you. Especially if yu made your ult accounts prior to the ban.
Do you know what a
Batronix USB Chip Programmer is?
either de-solder the chip, plug it in, re-program it with a New ID and upload the new EPROM and re-solder or.
We can use that or flash the firmware ID.
or nvlfash moded with kali linux.
EZ.
anyone can do it.
and if the chip is damaged,. Foxconn gladly sells their chips to alibaba en mass so you can buy hundreds of these things and just keep rinse repeating until a person gets results.
ahhhh, so young and naive.
As a game dev my self, I can safely say that doesn’t remove everything. And their is still dozens of to identify you.
just your behavior alone is enough in many cases. doubly so if your dumb enough to group up with friends even on ult accounts.
No, leaving does for sure also
“young and dumb”,
Keep it civil. I never called you names.
I, Certified through Comp TIA.
I studied Auditing through their Security + , and if you have ever read into “hack a- day”. and how much people are willing to go, you would know exactly what people do just to cheat the system.
Just look at nintendo and how much they claimed their CIC chips and their incident about the would-be “copy protect”: their games and they still were broken.
As for being a cheater / habitual offender. Use to be before 2007. Until I realized cheating is lame and for the lesser person that simply doesn’t want to learn how to play a video game.
If you had actual knowledge in this, you would know about the whole CIC thing. so clearly you aren’t a game dev. It rocked the world just as much as the Securom ordeal. Which I am surprised you didn’t quote that incident.
and NO, i am not a game dev either. But I trained with people that were heading that direction and some of the “smugness” they had, we joked about that if they put it aside. They could do better as programmers.
I use to give them grief about going from x86 to 64 bit programming and it was fun to get them angry about it. nobody wanted to learn to code for 64 bit and still to this day, they cant walk away from 32-bit. I get a good laugh.
But the thing is. the world isn’t set-in-stone. and everyone finds a way around stuff.
Its like I said. If “you” believe windows security updates secure your PC, you have no business in this world. If you rely on a hardware based firewall to protect your computer, you are headed in the right direction, and if you believe an antivirus keeps you “safe” on the internet. Help us all. because it doesn’t.
And no, I am NOT an expert, nor do I claim to be an expert. I just have lots of life experiences with bone-headed computer users and self-acclaimed pro computer application “power users” that “know all” and bad programmers that showed up at my door step and wanted to pick my brain for additional ideas to resolve issues.
Anyway.
Oh I’m am aware, You “can” do some wild things to basically make you look like a brand new computer.
But 99% of that base are script kiddies. Or the type to just sit in spawn and throw a hissy fit, are not usually the types that go down that rabbit hole.
Neat if you can, but you can also get sued somewhere down the line if you want to be both problematic and bypass their terms of service repeatedly to get several accounts banned. (not unheard of but rare, as you have to be as disruptive as a hack maker for that to happen)
And even then it’s a learning process and old commonly known methods can be bypassed rather quickly. With a little know how on the developers end. Like the ven diagram of what you mentioned that want to continue to play the game consistently are small enough to really not matter much. as few dozen or hundred of people that get to that point are a small tip of the ice burg at the end of the day.
“also ya I should have used “they” not you, didn’t mean to be rude outside the original joke line”
What an absurd amount of work…it would be much MUCH easier to just wait out the matches….in a game that you would rather not play if you’re leaving enough to get yourself banned
Back on the topic of leaving…
as for "leaving’ honestly, get over it folks. Its a stupid mode called “QUICK” play and you aren’t being rewarded for playing the match and you aren’t given a rank, and nobody cares about Quickplay stats. its no different than playing Open Servers in Squad or battle bit. people come, and they go.
We already have a “serious mode” called Competitive ranked gameplay.
I dont get butthurt over leavers in Quickplay because there’s nothing that I am given in it, and regardless if it is a "win’ or a “loss” NBFD.
But at the same time, I have the expectation that I am supposed to sit in there for 10 minutes and put up with some keyboard warrior that wont play the match or the moron that presses “GROUP UP WITH ME” 10,000x as they feed the enemy team or the two players off on the side dueling because they think they are trying to prove a “;whos better”.
Than yes. I should be able to leave without a penalty. Because one should not have to waste their time, if other people are going to waste my time.
its also the primary reason on external forums and on youtube, that people say Overwatch now truly sucks to play. Because we are forced to put up with people that aren’t going to play the game, and the only ones that do love the penalty are the trolls that press Q and refuse to play the game in the first place.
“hey can I maybe get help so we all can play the game”
“no, now shut up and play”
First, play what? This kinda match up isn’t a game.
Second, if these people don’t wish to cooperate with teammates, why are they in a team based game? Really baffles me that this whole group of people has devolved into “I don’t need to compromise for you but you definitely should compromise for me”.
They care about themselves being able to do whatever they want however they want. They don’t care about anyone else on the team and how aforementioned ability of “being able to do whatever they want however they want” impacts their teammates. So you are correct.
except it is…cause youre leaving…and its clearly a big enough deal to you…
meanwhile by leaving you are wasting the time of 10 other people…the 9 in the match that have to play 5v4 OW for however long that is (im sure you enjoy when that happens in your games) and the guy that has to take your place (in a game that you just deemed “not worthy of being played”)
the whole argument is built on hypocrisy - “its not serious, and my experience is ruined”…yet by leaving youre proving that you do take it seriously enough and actually ruin the experience for everyone else
at the end of the day leaver penalties were something that was asked for BY THE COMMUNITY itself for a VERY long time (since OW1)…the leavers are the minority in this case…people dont like dealing with them and they do ruin the experience for everyone
