Leavers in Comp Open Queue nealry every game
I am trying to do placement, but had 6 games with plenty of leavers so far 5 of them on my team. What is going on???
On my other account I had 0 leaver got 2350sr won 8 out of 10 games had gold nearly every game as well, on this one 1350sr due to the leavers.
Looks like its true, that sr has nothing to do with skill its all about a coinflip. 1000sr difference for the same person for the same game type due to leavers proves that matchmaking and sr rating is heavily flawed.

It moreso proves you got really unlucky if this is actually true.

But if it’s that big of a difference you probably got carried on your main account, 1000 sr doesn’t account for leavers alone

Currently I’ve played 6 games and 2 leavers, same game. One seemed to be a ragequit.

The 5 games I had no leaver on my team I won. So according to your logic everyone carries me every game when there are no leavers.
Any other genius comment?

Nobody wants to put up with the sad excuse called matchmaking.

I can promise you, not playing for a day or the rest of the season is better than getting a bunch of idiots.

No need to get defensive so quickly.

Definitely a disparity in your MMR to your SR if a new account is 1000 SR less. Leavers do not account for that large of a gap.

SO after I have finished the replacement, first game leaver on enemy team. I had gold dmg silver kill with pharah, 0 death. Gain 60SR, which clearly proves I was rated incorrectly as usual.

Gains and losses are boosted for new accounts for the first chunk of games, been that way for years.

Medals are relative and not indicative of performance relative to your rank, only your current teammates. 1 elim can be gold, 200 damage gold, etc etc

It’s entirely possible that you are correct, but it’s equally possible you are not.

Exactly, so your comment was realy useful as it was not stating any fact ever, not sharing your matchmaking experience either, might as well kept it to yourself. :slight_smile:

No it doesnt, its normal SR gain just after placement. Several games after placement have this bonus, going both ways btw.

leavers happen in every game mode

it isnt seen solely in role-less queue modes

Well when you have over 60% of games with leavers you will start complaining like I do, or not. :slight_smile:

I understand - I dont like leavers either, not at all

but

there are leavers in every game mode, not just in this new role-less competitive mode

Now I am on 15 games from which 9 had a leavers. And they call it comp and ‘Skill Rating’. This is more than an insult for the player base.

Then I also got really unlucky, on multiple accounts.

I’m on my 3rd match of the day and already had 2 games cancelled due to leavers and 1 leaver on my team. GREAT TIMES!

The leavers are probably due to

  • it being an “arcade” mode and not taken as seriously
  • people quitting when they can’t play Echo

So new heros like Echo should not be available in comp for at least a week, just like every other hero used to be.
As soon as they have changed it all we have is a leavers fest

I mean if youre this easily triggered by nominal discussion, it paints a more specific picture of your missing 1k SR :joy:

New heroes should not be added mid season. Add them to the game when ever but never to mid season of comp.
