Leavers in 2-2-2

If a team is down a player in 2-2-2, do you think that team should be allowed to have one player switch roles until the leaver returns? For example, if a DPS player DC’s, you may rather solo tank or solo heal until they come back instead of solo DPS?

If the leaver comes back, the filler is forced to switch back to their original role after they die. There could also be a rule such as this rule only applies if a leaver has been gone for more than 30 seconds. And it can only be used once per match. In order to prevent people from purposely leaving to circumvent 2-2-2. Thoughts?

How would you decide which player gets to switch roles if several people want to do it?

What if the leaver comes back, picks a hero from their role, and they manage to stabilize and keep the other guy from dying for a long time, resulting in them having 3 heroes of the same role, which gives their team an unfair advantage?

I think this introduces so many complications and possible abuse that it shouldn’t be done.

Whoever does it first.

Said team already played with a disadvantage by having a leaver. They deserve to have the upper hand if they worked for it imo.

Another issue is the players might have very different SR for different roles so it wouldn’t be fair if someone is a gold tank player but a diamond dps and in their match the dps leaves and then the gold tank swaps to dps and dominates.

Yeah true but I think you would have to be insanely better at one role than another in order to actually be better off 5v6 than 6v6. Like at least 2 full skill tiers higher which I don’t think many people are unless they’re weird like me.

Yeah, for a second I forgot that it will still be a difficult situation since it’s a 5v6 lol. But if the 6th player comes back you will have an advantage. Probably won’t be the biggest issue but it’s still something to consider.
