Leavers and priority queue broken

First time trying to play this game in over 6 months. Queued DPS and waited about 10 minutes and got into game. immediately after first enemy team wipe someone leaves and its cancelled. waited another 7 minutes and got into another DPS game. same thing happened. Said < 3 minutes with a pass and priority queue. waited 8 minutes, left to see why. went up to < 9 minutes with prio queue (from 2 leaver games in a row btw), waited in queue for another 14 minutes. still nothing, left queue again to see why. somehow, with 2 leaver prio and a pass is still 20 > minutes for a DPS game. How does that make any sense.

Ended up just queueing Support, waited 2 minutes got into game. Yet another leaver. how can so many players go unpunished in endless leaves, and im stuck waiting over 45 minutes to play a single game of Overwatch. how is this considered priority if im sitting here for so long, surely other games are still being made in under 20 minutes what kind of priority am i getting here after 3 leaves and a pass ?

I mean, Tank / Support players can almost requeue instantly, so yeah, they leave.

I don’t like it, but I understand it.

If you want to play, make sure you don’t get rolled, or roll the other team in the first fight.

Or play Comp, they don’t usually leave Comp.

Facts that have been said before the s18: this game will not work with roleQ system.
But who did know that roleQ will actually bury the game.

It didn’t work without it.

The game was already Burying itself. I think roleQ gave it at least another year of it working, since it at least slowed down the massive exodus of Tank/Support players from the game.

You have openQ, depending on the region. You can play that with the few others which enjoy it.

Priority passes failed hardcore because they decided to give them as participation trophies and even worse yet they used to give you 2 passes for losing a game meaning that everyone flooded them out and they became so abundant that they became irrelevant because everyone started using them. Also the queue time estimations are completely random and never tell you the truth. DPS queue is often <4min even though it’s never under 4 minutes without backfills just because so many players are using priority passes that it’s as if there’s a failsafe system that puts it so low just to prevent players from using their priority passes on the DPS queue anymore. It’s super weird and everyone hates it

Also there’s a heckton of leavers in games because the DDA MM system that OW uses is extremely horrible and doesn’t work so players often feel like they have to go to drastic measures and are wiling to take penalties just to dodge matches that would make them horrible about the gameplay experience. Obviously this has exploded and gotten out of hand since the game is dead, but it was the #1 reason higher tiered players quit playing the game years ago put together with the massive balancing issues the game has where devs refuse to strive for a finite balancing rather than follow subjective opinions about the balance where they practically practise toxic hero favoritism that caused OW to be most known for it’s hero elitism amongst all gaming communities

There’s just so many fundamental flaws in the game that everyone is malding and leaving and hopping on alts to disrupt the system itself that nobody likes and those who aren’t actively doing this only don’t do it out of the feeling of guilt, or they just feel like it would be too much of a bother to do

I would recommend picking up some other healthy FPS game if you happen to like those. Sadly I hate the BR formats and ACDC paced shooters and infinity is so horribly optimized that it runs badly on my computer so I’m kinda out of luck with this
