Hi, all!
For two days in a row now, I’ve been kicked from a quick play mystery heroes game due to server disconnect, and had the “leaver” penalty immediately applied to my account, despite almost never leaving games of my own volition. Has anyone else had this problem? I understand having a penalty for people who leave every other match, but to be penalized for something beyond my control, and for something I’m mindful about not doing, is really frustrating.
Same here, except for me, it has definitely been my Wi-Fi spiking and I get disconnected from the game. And then the time last night that did me in and got me the leaver penalty was when my PS5 overheated and shut down while I was in the middle of a quick play match. And all I’ve been playing has been QP. Then today I login and see a warning sign on all game modes, even the arcade, which should be the least competitive game mode there is, so idk how there’s a warning on it. I completely get being frustrated since none of this is in my control. This is why I was so annoyed by the leaver penalties, despite it being good in some cases. It sucks being afraid to play a game that you enjoy because I don’t want to get any more penalties on my account for getting disconnected 
Same here, for 2 days in a row, after downloading the new update, the game has been throwing me out without me doing anything, just randomly in the middle of games, overwatch just shuts down and a small tab opens up saying the application is closing, i turn on the game about 2 minutes later, and i have the leaver penalty despite not leaving the game, but the game crashing by itself. There is no problem with my wifi or pc, this is all new, just after this update. overwatch please fix your game so i that i can play atleast one full match.
This just happened to me as well. I was queued for Mystery Heroes and was in a deathmatch for "While you wait." I heard the Match Found sound only to be thrown back in the home screen and displayed a red notice stating I received a leaver penalty and my endorsement level had been affected. I don’t want to risk playing any more matches if this will be the case.
