I could be wrong, but ran tests and noticed if we report, only one of us gets it.
Some reports, depending on what was reported can get quickly actioned or cause warnings to the end user.
Some only add a “weight”, but not get actioned, only internally flag an ACC that things are piling up for it.
I mean that in all this time I got 2 messages for the first time in one game launch. In ow1 I could get ten in a row
Considering that I receive them literally all the time, I’ve long thought that it broke on me, and I have a huge backlog of messages, and it shows 1 piece at a time

Fair is fair. People who play QP like meme generators but demand there being leaver penalties are eitehr smurfs or morons…period.
there is nothing to be learned from teammates who wont switch or who trickle and feed endlessly and play terribly.
Nothing to learn from that. So yes, moving to a lobby where people actually play the game correctly should always be ok.

The penalty teaches the meme-gen players nothing but that they’re free to throw while no one has any agency to participate or not.
Before the harsh penalties more than 50% of my matches a day are literally backfills. Post penalties less than 5% of my matches are backfills. Thats how much difference it made.
Yes there are still leavers but they got reduced so drastically and its actually pretty rare to get into backfills now.
Cus without them it’s an endless rotating door of people leaving and causing backfills, while also ruining the experience for 9 other players each time.
If you wanna leave, leave before the match starts. If you commit to a game of qp, just commit its like 5-7 minutes of ur life if u can’t consistently commit to that when you queue for it, you probably should stick with the arcade modes only.
QP leaver penalties exist because people don’t respect basic match integrity and that’s not the system’s fault.
Junkensteins lab proves the leaver penalty is a good thing. Haven’t had a single game that didn’t have at least 2-3 leavers in it. Reality is this community loves quitting therefore punishment has to exist.
Keep crying about your teammates. Why don’t you take accountability and win regardless of what your teammates are doing?
Why do you care about the performance of your teammates? And genuinely, I say this from the heart, I used to win almost every game I had a leaver because the leaver was always the most toxic, doghit player. Now, they just throw and everyone’s time is wasted.
And this is a casual mode… Why don’t you play competitive if you care about “game integrity?” I literally cannot comprehend how people can’t acknowledge how stupid it is for a casual mode to have leaver penalties…
See when people say this, all I see it as is a massive over exaggeration. Borderline gaslighting XD I never saw this happen on the magnitude of what forumers suggest…ofc sometimes it did, but not enough to bring about leaver penalties for unranked
I just assume it happened to people once or twice, and just threw a tantrum here about how unfair and imperfect qp games can be XD
It happened a LOT. 9/10 matches where defense failed to defend the first wave would be met with one leaver. I actually counted 15 quits in a single QP game once.
No, penalties are stupid and don’t even help anything. They ultimately punish you for being punished already, which is being in a stupid total waste of time match that’s either designated to be a defeat because matchmaker made total garbage teams, teams didn’t assemble in time which basically means you’ll be defeated because you lost precious time or whatever else. And you’re forced to sit there and watch the misery, because if you leave all sorts of BS further punishes you like getting suspended for X time until you can even join next or you instantly lose Endorsement level. Yay. Bottom line, it solves nothing, it just makes whole experience more unbearable and annoying.
And I bet Blizzard devs are looking at stats, seeing “wow people are leaving matches less” and not realizing people just stop trying and start emoting on spawn and waiting for garbage match to end. And I bet they’ll soon also come after these people instead of fixing the F matchmaker that’s utterly broken.
People who leave 10 seconds before the end of the match are dumb, but if I’m dropped into a failing match with enough time to potentially do something, I’ll give it a shot because I’ve seen new joiners turn the tide more often than people being forced to stay in a failing match with zero interest to bother. But hey, how would Blizzard even know that, they don’t even play their own damn game to know that.

These are just people who have minimised their games to their taskbar and turned the game audio off while minimized. So they didn’t know they had been put in a match. All of them would have been kicked out in a few seconds later.
You were well past the allowed time to leave since you had already spawned into the map.
I would have swapped to badtion and cheesed the defence for as long as possible.
How is a matchmaker supposed to know that people are afk? There’s no way for the ai to know that a player will be afk in their next match.
That’s why you can leave once without penalty, and the next 2 are 2 minutes each, after that it’s 15 minutes i think. If you actually have to go do stuff during that time that’s 5 leaves with penalties you won’t even notice.
5/20 matches. Means 15 matches will have to be played and finished without leaving.
The casual mode doesn’t have leaver penalties (arcade, ai, seasonal brawls, customs)
Only the main gamemodes have leaver penalties.
Quitters queue solves the problem with style and elegance.
Some qp matches had more than 5 leavers in a team. It could get worse, i had over 10 once with 2 people leaving and the backfills repeatedly leaving the moment they load in.
Sometimes all those leavers were the tank, the backfill, the backfill, the backfill etc.
Sometimes the backfill system was so broken it didn’t give backfills. A teammate just left and you were stuck 4v5 for the whole match. If another one left it was 3v5.
A match with only 1 leaver was near impossible to have. My matches with no leavers in the season before suspension penalties were added, i could count with 1 hand. I played daily.
It could get so bad that having only 2 leavers felt like having no leavers at all.
I’d be playing the junkenstein’s lab mode if it had the penalties. Because most of the matches have ended up having leavers.
All I can say is unlucky mate. This never happened to me and I play in gold console EU. Perhaps the most toxic childminded players on earth are here. No idea what to tell ye.
Rank is inconsequential on QP. But yeah, maybe console players are not as quick on the draw. All I can say is that the game got much better after penalties, quality wise.
