Leave it to the team to make the Weekly Challenges WORSE

Ok FINALLY they pulled back on heroes locked in BP and for changing weeklies into XP only and Coins being on the free BP. Never should have been like that to begin with but whatever now that it’s a moot point.

BUT on the old system of weekly challenges, we had 12 per week with 11 being for 5000xp and 1 being for OW1 Credits (the Progression Levels Weekly).

That came out to 55,000 BP xp per week if you did all the 11 XP ones. 50,000 if you only play comp or only play QP (meaning 10 per week).

In the new system they award us 25,000 for doing 5 of the 6 weekly challenges. The 6th one being Progression Challenge for OW1 Credits again.

So that amounts to another 25k in XP from doing the 5 challenges for a total of 50,000.

BUT if you only play Comp or only play QP you lose out on one the challenges (like the old system) and lose out on 5,000 XP meaning your weekly total comes out to only 45,000 XP.

They literally nerfed the amount of BP XP per week from Weekly Challenges in exchange for moving Coins into the free BP AND ONLY increasing the amount earned by a measly 60 Coins.

That on top of the fact that almost 1/4 of the BP has no rewards other than Coins and Credits when in past seasons they would at least attach a 2nd item on top of those slots.

It’s absolutely ridiculous. The challenges take just as long as before but for less overall reward. Beyond idiotic.

They did warn us that coins in the bp would mean the BP becomes harder to complete.

(I’m not justifying it, bps are inherently scummy and I will never change my opinion of them)

Lol but it didn’t have to…they literally removed HALF the weekly challenges to give us 60 more coins a season. Big whoop.

And I do not recall ever hearing them saying that or in a blog post or anything. Source? Just cause I wanna see the context for myself since I somehow missed it.

It was one of the qna videos they did (can’t exactly remember which one) someone asked them, “would you ever consider adding coins to the premium pass, like Fortnite does” they basically answered by saying, “as much as we would like to do this, we still need to make money from the passes, we don’t want a situation where players only pay for one pass and never have to buy another one again. We also want our players to be able to finish the pass, and adding coins would mean we make the pass harder to complete”

But that has nothing to do with what I am talking about. They give 600 per BP and it costs 1000.

Not a reason to reduce the amount of weekly challenges XP. I can’t get enough for the next BP regardless.
