Last patch was a mistake

Am I the only one thinking the last patch was a mistake? Half of the games I see from gm/top500streamers are double shield/bap&brig and there are also a lot of meis and symms, characters who are objectively unfun to play against… zzzz

Why yes, it’s 1 step forward then 2 steps back. We were finally out of the OW abyss on the path before and now we are well on our way back into it, even deeper this time. They have never learnt their lesson.

What do you expect?

For them to give Sym, Brig and Mccree mobility to blink around in order to keep them 200 hp?

Isn’t Soldier 76 OP. Just pick him and mow down all the symmetras and brigs.

Who do you think got buffed? :eyes:

For now, just chalk it up to people trying out the new changes. If we’re seeing Orisa/Sig/Mei/Sym/Brig/Bap constantly in a few weeks there will be a problem

considering that orisa currently has around 0.7% pickrate this is either greatly exaggerated or cap

Subjectively

After most patches you see people trying out the new stuff. Wait for the dust to settle. Bap objectively needed help, I have not played enough to have an opinion on the changes but Brig does seem considerably stronger.

I think Brig is probably always going to be very difficult to balance. In combat her abilities are consistent and easy to land which means her heal is pretty much always going off. Her tankier design makes her difficult to bully if the player has even a fair grasp on positioning. As you go down in the ladder other hero’s effectiveness (especially those that require a high aim component) drops off much sharper than Brig’s.

I can’t see a way with the way the hero is presently designed that she can both be effective in GM and not feel over powered everywhere else. I don’t hate Brig or those that play her, but I do think her design will always be feast or famine, much like Doomfist.

Worst thing with this patch is, they took almost every boring stuff from the Test Lab 1:1 but the only good change (Baptiste’s bigger Amp matrix window) was NOT taken. What a waste of opportunity.

Picking 1 hero to counter 6 doesn’t usually work

I’m going to cry if brig becomes meta again tbh.

I was on the fence about the DPS, but honestly what do you do against orisa Sig mei Cree bap brig, ain’t nobody diving that, ain’t nobody playing rein into that, realistically the only thing you can do is poke it out but who you killing when the weakest player is bap

What is it with people making these nerf threads always claiming their opinion as fact? It just makes you seem egocentric and idiotic.

Perhaps you should have read the patch notes? There’s even a sticky post about this on the forum. It’s going live, they’re just providing it with some visual polish first.

They probably don’t know what the actual word means.

Maybe we need to really dive down the rabbit hole and go with 12.5 health increments and other decimals. Imagine how infuriating it would be seeing Widow grapple away with .5 health left or Brig defying your health break point with .0001 left and getting that sweet nano.

All i can say is, how much a monster Bap is currently. Im not even a great Bap but the value i can get out of him currently is insane.

We ask for babysteps in case of buffs, Blizz just has to put several buffs at once into a hero…

Then don’t dive, if you could those heros would be stupidly underpowerd, they usually aren’t great against brawl, try rein zarya with reaper and lucio, im sure it will go great.

You’d actually get pounded, mei wall halts spheres stuns, there’s no way to keep your rein alive with zarya, with DVA you can’t eat bash or rock, you can’t hard shield because of the raw damage coming from tanks mccree and bap, I guess you could try rein sigma but at that point why not just play orisa
