Everything that’s gone laughably wrong with OW2 has been tolerable up to this point.
Whatever you did to the matchmaking algorithm about 2 weeks ago is not tolerable. No matter how far my rank drops, the games get no easier.
It’s as if my account is suspected of smurfing or cheating and I’m being thrown into the blender with other such accounts. If that is the case, you should know that riot games has tried queue segregation like that and it’s gone horribly. Whatever the cause is, I’m done with this game as well as blizzard if matchmaking isn’t fixed in the midseason patch.

It’s called “New Tank hero got added to Comp”.
And they are working on it.

But yeah, like clockwork, as I predicted.
I’m genuinely disappointed with these balance patch changes.
You’ve had since July 15th, 2022 to make big Support changes to make progress on improving the ratio of Tanks vs Support players.
And this is the best you could come up with since then?
You all know there’s going to be something like 1/2 more Tank players, and 1/4 less Support players this patch. And that Tank:Support ratio was already really bad.
It’s only a matter of time before Pros/Streamers start realizing the speed/quality of their matchmaking just got a lot worse. And they are going to be very upset about that. You are going to lose a lot of good will and player count over this.
And yes, I know there are holidays coming up, so you don’t want to rock the boat. But you guys really need to take notice of the mishandling of Sojourn changes, and get more comfortable with “good enough for now” placeholder changes.
Especially since, theoretically that “hotfix balance changes” system is probably back online. And there’s a minimum of 4.5 months until OWL starts back up on 3/13 or later. So it really doesn’t make much sense why you guys are being so slow/cautious about dealing with what’s almost assuredly going to be a crisis.
As the top balance guy for Warcraft 3 and League of Legends would term it:
The Support Role needs “Macro Calibration ”, and you’re here just doing the most minimal fine tuning. And I’m at a total loss for understanding why you think that’s a good business decision.
Oh well, all this will become blindingly apparent soon enough. But it’s getting pretty tiresome asking you guys to stop shooting yourself in the foot all the time.
