Been experiencing some network issues in game lately… Having trouble figuring out why… I will be playing and latency/ping/packet loss out will spike for a second or two or three then normalize but during that time it feels like ihave 600ms ping im all over the place and the game has to put me back where i should be which is super disorienting\
I ran the Battle.net Looking glass for overwatch tests:
PRE-NOTE: I went and bought NordVPN and tested a server in dallas as well as PHX and was still seeing same issue

Rwkgod:
The home network has mild packet loss. Could be interference if you’re on Wi-Fi or a number of other things if you’re hard-wired in.
There is also a small lag spike on the home devices (5ms should be your worst ping, but it’s 34ms).
The ping continues to build from there as you traverse the ISP network.
Since the nodes are local to you, the VPN still uses them before making a connection to the server. Unfortunately, if you reboot your equipment and use a cable to connect, your only other option is to work this out with Comcast. Note: They will likely deny any such issue.

Hiya Nicole!! Thanks for looking at my issue! I ran a cable to try and rule out wifi and while it did improve overall performance still noticed some spikes in game… ran a winmtr hoping you can tell me if its my gear or my isp! Thanks again as i know this is a courtesy and you do this out of the kindness of your own heart! I appreciate you and your time!

The home connection looks much better. However, there are still lag spikes starting at 96.120.16.29

Been getting similar issues over the past few days. Heroes of the Storm is completely unplayable due to lag.

Just pasted the first few because the problem is clearly there (100% packet loss). No other node showed any packet loss.

Nope, if it was 100% loss it wouldn’t even log you in.
Run a WinMTR and start your own thread. It wouldn’t be polite to keep alerting the OP here since we wouldn’t be discussing their issue.

I suppose it’s 100% for the length of the test that MTR runs. I’m just quoting the number from Looking Glass.

That server does NOT respond to most ICMP requests (WinMTR/Ping). It’s designed that way to mitigate DDoS.
