Blizzard I believe it to be unfair for players on the steam deck because they are forced to use a controller but do not have access to aim assist. Could this please be changed to make the game a little bit more fair for these players.

We have aim assist on console. You aren’t missing much. Overwatch aim assist isn’t very good.
My brother plays on the steam deck and he says it makes a very big difference.
Imagine buying a childish junky gaming console then crying that your input methods are inferior compared to an actual keyboard and mouse…
Steam Deck players should be put in the same queue pool with Nintendo Switch players lmaooooo
I play this game on ps5 too and aim assist is very strong. I don’t know what you are smoking. You can even play with 100/100 sens and aim assist still helps you out a lot.
You obviously haven’t played a game with actual strong aim assist if you Overwatch’s is strong. Are you new to fps games on console?
It is just a controller with a screen so it should still get aim assist similarly to the switch
But it’s still considered PC. I wouldn’t expect Blizz to add AA to these new handhelds.

No, it shouldn’t, Steam Dorkers play in PC pools, having aim assist is an unfair advantage.
Just accept that you made a poor purchase for playing FPS games and move on.
On a side note, how is the steam deck in general? Been thinking of picking one up.

Steam Deck is not a console. It’s a PC. And if Steam Deck gets aim assist you are literally giving PC aim assist and people would abuse it and move to Linux to get legit aimbot.

The game is cross play, players with aim assist can already get into PC lobbies.

Yes, the Steam Deck sucks for FPS gaming, and is inferior for most games in general.
No, aim assist on Steam Deck is not happening because if it did the players would have an unfair advantage over PC players especially since you can use KBM with Steam Deck. Also there’s barely enough Steam players for Blizz to care about, let alone the minority of Steam Dorkers playing OW2.

Yes but you still are playing with a controller so like all the other controller players you should have aim assist.
I mean that’s because it’s playing the PC version of the game.
And allowing it at in that version will allow people to use it regardless of if they are on steam deck or on a normal PC with an actual M&K set up.

Well, hopefully one day they’ll allow people to play in a pool based on control set up. A K&M pool and a controller pool. Unfortunately with cheat devices like Xim out there, I suspect they’re hesitant to change things up.
