Primary Fire:
- Recovery time per bullet decreased from 0.14 seconds to 0.125 seconds (like the April Fools patch)
- Recovery after all projectiles fired decreased from 0.37 seconds to 0.36 seconds (total time per burst would be 0.86 seconds, down from 0.93, assuming the wiki is correct)
- Ammo count increased from 20 to 32 OR reload time decreased from 1.5 seconds to 1.25 seconds (probably the least likely of the gun-related changes)
Reasoning: Literally every other character whose primary means of damage is not a beam or melee weapon (with the sole exception of Sigma, I believe) has higher and/or more consistent DPS. But, I don’t want anything crazy. This change would bring Lúcio’s DPS from 86-ish to around 93 (which is still lower than Mercy, baby D.Va, and uncharged Zarya, by the way). This would make him overtake both Illari and Kiriko by a little, but the former is hitscan, and the latter has an increased crit multiplier and faster projectiles, so I think it’s fair. This would make it feel more rewarding for hitting your shots without decreasing the amount of mechanical skill needed to hit said shots. The last part is just so Lúcio doesn’t feel like a reload simulator.
Crossfade:
- Self-healing penalty decreased from 60% to anywhere between 25% and 40%
Reasoning: The DPS passive makes Crossfade’s self-healing almost nonexistent (4.8 HPS when under its effect!). I get that it was nerfed in the transition to OW2 because of the role passives, but with the DPS passive combined with the increase in bullet sizes in Season 9, Lúcio’s survivability is at an all-time low (or at least, that’s how it feels to me).
As stated in the title, these probably won’t happen, but I want to know what other people think (and by consequence, how awful of a Lúcio player I am for daring to suggest such biased and horrid changes).
