Korean BattleTag, how can I do it?

Hello fellow Overwatch players,

I just wanted to make myself an alt-account and want to have it named 스위스. I have read a few articles but none really helped me.

When I try to name it, it gives me the error message, that I’m not using allowed characters.
Does it make a difference where I live?

I would really appreciate if someone knows, how I can do it.
Have a nice weekend

You have to do it in the web browser, I believe?

At least, that’s how you do it with special characters.

Some names and characters are region locked.

Like you know that weird big font that people have in your games? You can’t use those characters if your account is in EU i believe.

copy and paste those symbols

Open windows search bar on your computer, type in “character map” and open it, use the latin letters and make a username and copy it, paste it into the battlenet name change thingy = cool font username thingy

Does like no one know that that does NOT work? Why should I ask in the forums when I haven’t tried that. I wrote it with my keyboard, copied it from Google and tried it in BattleNet-Launcher AND in browser…

Use typeit . org its how i got mine.

Sorry but there’s no Korean on typeit . org

then try google translate

as if i haven’t tried that?

It seems like your battlenet account have to be set to “Korea, South”, in order to do that you will need a “Korean social security number” (KSSN) that pretty much only are avlible for people with an adress in Korea.
