The Cleanse and heal is fine what is insanely broken is the Invulnerability. This needs to go. Dva bomb? Not with kiriko. Junkwheel? Not with kiriko. Pin? Not with Kiriko. Blizzard? Not with kiriko. I’m sure there is more. It’s just a stupid and braindead reactive ability that invalidates tons of other heros ults and abilities, it’s like a Baps lamp on steroids.
I think if you would replace full invul with a 100% dmg resistance, that would come a long way to make the ability less oppressive. At least you could fight back with CC.
tbh the cleanse aspect is what makes it broken. just remove that and rebalance negative effects and stuns from there. Rein ult stun needs to last 1s less, ana nade should be 75% (after hog gets reworked) and in exchange she should be able to self nano boost
Without invulnerability Suzu is fairly useless tbh. Cleanse by itself really isn’t enough to justify it as an ability.
At least with bap lamp you can still counter players by pushing them out of the zone, melting the lamp itself, still deal damage or hack the lamp with sombra to completely negate it. Suzu? You cant even deal damage and shots will also go through players. Even at .85 seconds it still feels like forever. Immunities should be removed from the game, baptiste lamp is tolerable enough as it is, we didn’t need another BS added to the game.
But then to do that you’d actually have to further nerf hyper mobile dps that’s going to lead to complaints and more nerfs across the board.
Braindead? My man, suzu is a lot of things, but it definitely isn’t braindead. Especially for a lot of the situations brought up in this thread.
Now healing ofuda… That is definitely braindead. Especially when used after suzu.
Full heal for 200hp heroes by the time the invuln runs out.
The heal makes it a complete reset. Invulnerability is fine. It’s a thing in a lot of games. What isn’t a thing is a full heal through invulnerability.
hyper mobile heroes needed nerfs after major cc removal anyway. junkrat would do just fine with 1 mine, genji needs no dash reset from asist and ultimate trigger and so on.

But eventually you’ll need to nerf supports as well. When you need to nerf supports in this game, I think that’s the red flag that something’s not right.
I get power creep but honestly a overnerf version is that is definitely a thing, especially in Overwatch. Abilities and healing becoming less impactful makes it more like a shooting gallery.
You can’t nerf cc without nerfing mobility and dps and you can’t nerf dps without nerf supports.
Removing the invulnerability is a good start
Both of these require a lot more skill to counter with Suzu than to use.
Sorry you’re getting outplayed by better players. Although if Junkrat gets his RIP-tire blocked by Suzu, that’s a massive skill issue on his end.
If anything this shows what a meme of a post this is. There’s so many other things that are way more valuable for Suzu to be used on. Why on earth would you ever use it when you can just get behind cover? She rarely uses Suzu to counter ults. It’s far better used to save someone from hook or Ana nade. Using against someone like JQ’s ult is understandable but usually that’s just a whiff on usage.
Except for cleanse really doesn’t do anything unless it’s against Ana’s grenade.
Supports have had the short end of the stick for years. I really don’t care if it’s broken.
Invulnerability can be annoying to play against yes. But the things you mentioned like a pin, tire, dva bomb, all those require precise timing and aim when using Suzi. Its also like a “last resort” type ability, because with a tire or dva bomb you have time to get to cover and avoid getting hit, unless its getting too close Suzu can bail you or your teammates out, plus it lasts not even a second so theres that time window. and depending what heros the enemy is running, you can bait her Suzu to make other plays. So yes, it can be annoying but it isnt a skill-less ability
I’d say the usefulness of Suzu’s cleanse is:
- 50% Antinade
- 25% Sleepdart
- 25% Earthshatter
Maybe throw Hack/EMP in there too.
Invulnerability (that can be granted to others) doesn’t belong in the game. It’s actually the worse feeling ability in the game to go against. A literal “I don’t feel like dying button”, but it’s applied to multiple people at once.
Damage reduction and the slight burst in healing with the cleanse would be perfectly fine and more suitable. It’s already stacked as hell - invulnerability just takes it over the edge.
The single most broken ability in the game that has no business being there.
The timing really isnt that hard to block a dva bomb.
Most of us have played for years. Dva’s timer is second nature. Its really not that hard to time the exact moment to toss suzu. Have never died to a single bomb while playing Kiriko.
Thats fair. But when it comes to new players im sure its hard for them to time it right
