Kiriko - Primary and Secondary

If you haven’t seen KarQ’s video…

Go into options > controls > select Kiriko instead of All Heroes

Swap the primary and secondary buttons

Gameplay feels so much more natural for some reason.

I swear, Blizzard always seems to choose the worst default settings. It’s simply common sense that the one that requires precise aim should be on primary fire when the other is a soft-lock ability.

It feels natural because all heroes (I believe at least) deal damage with their primary fire, even Mercy’s blaster is on the primary fire.

Also, visually, she does throw the kunais with her left hand and heals with her right hand, so it is easier for you brain to accept that if you press the left side it activates her left arm and the right side activates her right arm.

To be fair it’s primary heal on all the support characters that have a heal on a mouse (1|2) button.

I’m fine with it when playing Moira, but feels weird on Kiriko.

Agreed, Moira’s suck feels natural on alt fire, but Kiriko feels weird.

I dunno about that. By default Moira’s LMB is healing while RMB is the purple noodle. Mercy’s staff has healing on LMB and damage boost on RMB. There’s no consistency for whatever reason.

I swapped them on Moira the moment she was added, same with Kiriko.

Speaking of which, you might also want to change the setting that makes you always launch 5 healing talismans at a time so you can choose to launch just one or two to heal up chip damage.

Yeah but I believe her left hand heals and right hand deals damage right ?

That’s not the same, nothing deals damage with her staff so you can’t really compare it.

I do think that appart from Kiriko, every single hero which uses one hand for the primary fire and the second one for secondary fire is on par with the left and right MB. Like Moira for example, Baptiste, JQ, Doomfist, Orisa etc

Edit : turns out I’m wrong Orisa or JQ have their weapon in the right hand and use their left hand for secpndary fire
I guess my brain just makes them lefties for my sanity

I was just about to slam that reply button when I saw your edit. Yeah, who knows what Blizzard’s thinking. I don’t blame your brain for trying to see some sort of order here. :stuck_out_tongue:

This actually threw me off when I initially changed my settings. While she heals with her R, and hits with her L, the visual is kinda opposite since she crosses her arms.
