Kiriko has accessability issues on console

When Kiriko was first revealed, I thought her ofuda’s soft-lockon mechanic would make her just as accesable as Mercy.

That’s probably the case on PC right now, but Kiriko’s healing on console feels a lot less forgiving to use. Healing Ofuda’s “lock-on cone” is too narrow for comfort when played with a contoller, due to the stick’s slower turn and aim speed compared to aiming with a mouse. The result is Console Kiriko’s heals being lot more aim-intensive than any ability specifically made for players who have issues with precsision aiming should be.

Can we please get a console-only patch to address this? Kiriko doesn’t even have “friendly aim assist” (like Console Ana does).

Dude you´re just giving console players a bad name. Different from mercy, kiriko requires high mechanical skill, there are a plenty of good kiriko mains that can easily hit her heals on the target. In fact, hiting her heals is one of the easiest parts of her kit

I don´t mean to be rude, but just work your sensitivity and get good

Ana doesn´t have any console only buff anymore, all of them got removed a long time ago

I play on console and do not suffer this problem.

As the thread title says, this is an accessability issue. I’ve got health issues that affect my hands and make precise aiming difficult on a good day and physically painful on a bad one.

If I can’t play a chatacter without hurting myself, I’m not going to play them.

Ana actually still has her friendly aim assist (which sometimes gets in the way of landing good sleeps/anti nades). The console specific change she had (a bigger dart size) was removed with the crossplay patch, so you’re right about that at least.

I feel sorry for you, but making the game aimbot more is not the right way to fix it. Overwatch aim assist on console is perfectly balanced as it is

There is literally no aim assist for Kiriko’s heals on console.

And there shouldn´t be, the heals literally follow your ally. It´s one of the most forgiving heals in the game

Read this, it’ll explain what the problem is.

Fundamentally, I don’t think balance should center itself around accessibility.

??? Since when is this a balance thing?

Making her healing easier is a balance issue.

Not in this case. Kiriko’s heals are already balanced around being incredibly easy to use.

It’s not going to hurt anything to make sure that they’re actually easy to use for EVERYONE who plays Kiriko, whether they’re able-bodied or not.

We do acessibility changes when it’s possible and doesn’t impact the strenght/skill of the hero

So now i suppose we need to put aimbot in the game for those who don’t have arms and play with their feet? If we go that way, we end up with multiple issues

Who do you think Reinhardt, Winston, and all the other no-aim characters were made for?

How are you even playing kiriko at all then? She has a kunai as primary fire which is probably the most difficult and aim intensive primary fire out of all the supports.

I think your post needs to be edited a bit with more clarificationthat its your disability and not the controllers

As you said, the entire hero is made thinking of a low skill floor from the start. Heroes like kiriko on the other way have a higher skill floor, she is clearly aim intensive

We don’t change heroes skill requirements/strenght based on acessibility. It can’t be helped if a dude with a disability wants to play aim intensive heroes like widowmaker

Okay, now I know you’re not here for an honest debate.

Widowmaker? Really?? I make a thread asking for a small accessabity tweak to a SOFT-LOCK ability, and this is what happens? Your transparent gatekeeping does your image no favors, sir.

Not to sound rude, but a hero shouldn’t be changed for people who have handicaps. Also on pc it’s the same thing, you have to aim fairly close to the target.
