I think it’s also easy to make a skin for her physical character model type (and some other heroes). Especially with her outfit and the ninja meme, it seems to fit easier or be easier to reinterpret in another way. At least, more so then say Pharah or Junkrat or someone like that I guess.
I mean, I don’t see Toga fitting anyone else. She’s a popular character so it makes sense to include her in a collab.

Popular is a strong word. People like Animated Short Kiri. Game Kiri is a completely different character. And is worse for it. And she’s definitely not the Poster Girl Blizzard want her to be. It’ll always be Tracer.

Kiriko is a ridiculous nerfed healer, Blizzard dont favor her at all
Then we have healers like Moria and Illari that are op and have superior weapons
I would say blizzard hate Kiriko most of all support, but its a extremely poorly balanced game so no surprises there

I just love that all the my hero skins are like 4-5 seasons behind.
every single time they release a kiri skin i see at least 10 different kiriko players with it equipped
her personality is not likeable but the hero is popular in every sense of the word. it’s very forced at times but it exists

They don’t care about anything other than making money. That’s it. Kiriko is unfortunately popular and a lot of her players throw money at the game. So they’re going to keep making Kiriko skins.

I don’t think there are many Kiriko mains at all. Most I see are not all that great, and wouldn’t know what to do with themselves without suzu to counter Ana.
It’s some kind of fanboys that buy up all the petite girl skins for fantasy. Blizz knows its market.
