IF the game was balanced, which it isn’t so it doesn’t work.
Already strong heroes with already short CDs such as Juno, Doom, Sombra, Brig, Mauga just become stronger AND/OR get EVEN SHORTER CDs. Or Heroes that benefit from more HP like Widow, Genji, Mei, Reaper, Torb.
The idea of a Kingslayer is fine and perhaps still worth considering. The implementation is the issue. It just doesn’t work as is.
Yeah, because of balance. Not being able to swap roles aslo doesn’t feel great and it’s OPEN QUEUE.
If you also don’t pick a role in time, it chooses one for you (seems to be always Tank)
Kingmaker is a more extreme version of why the blanket changes dont fix anything and often make strong heroes even stronger.
