I feel like with all the discussion with Quick Play suspensions being thrown around, and Arcade just being " The Silly Mode ", I feel like it would do a lot of people good if we just merged Quick Play and Arcade together, in 1 menu.
You’d still have a button for " Quick Play" but instead of it being calling it Quick Play, call it what it apparently should’ve been Unranked Play. Make it clear that Quick Play is supposed to be the gateway mode for competitive, bans and all.
But also next to the Unranked Play button is a set of buttons that isn’t dissimilar to what Arcade is, and just display the full list of Game Types for people to play. No need for complicated Map bans, no need for Suspensions or anything, just all the modes people would play and have fun with.
I would love to see Blizzard implement this, and effectively merge the 2 communities together, so that things just flow much more nicely.
So long as Total Mayhem is permanently available, I’m down with those changes!

The quick play modes are all behind the button that’s named “unranked”.
The main play menu has buttons for: unranked, competitive, arcade and missions.
And under that “unranked” button are quick play, open queue and mystery heroes.

Should read: And under that “unranked” button are quick play, open queue, mystery heroes & Total Mayhem.
I wouldn’t mind that. I really liked playing total mayhem in 6v6.
But it just doesn’t feel the same without a second tank.
The arcade clash can get close to the old feeling of mayhem with how hectic it can get though.
Quit justifying your excuses to throw games for players who are actually trying. If you want fun and games then tell Blizzard to remove win / losses so the results actually don’t matter in the end.
Total Mayhem, you can have all tanks if you want. It’s not limited. 5 tanks vs 5 tanks, with halved cooldowns, double hitpoints. It’s insane, just the way I like it

It used to be role locked, but if it’s not anymore maybe i’ll be back now.
My main reason why we should Kill Quick Play and Arcade as separate modes is that it just atleast in my opinion it makes the idea that things in the Arcade are less important, less elevated than standard Quick Play / Comp.
I know that might come across as a nitpick, but it just feels like you have to go out of your way to engage with Arcade. But by merging the 2 menus together, you could elevate the 2 core aspects of the game that makes Overwatch fun in the first place. Those being the Serious group coming together and making a plan work gameplay, and the funny launch you into a pit or a horde of happy maniacal Meis freezing opponents to death silly gameplay.
The Unranked tab in this new window would still be a big button, and will include the standard modes already included in the ban system, Open Queue, Role Queue, and Mystery Heroes. But more importantly upon first opening Unranked tab explain the ban system and the expectations for the mode. Meanwhile next to the big Unranked button would be a list of all the modes to play in Overwatch, with a Quick Play name ontop of the list.
This should mostly eliminate the idea of leaving matches because of undesired modes. I would’ve suggested a map, list ontop of this, though i’m not too sure if Blizzard would like that as that adds another layer of complexity, but would be a nice QOL.
