It has been some time since I have played Overwatch, as I was unable due to recovery from a surgery.
I am there playing and having a great time! My team is winning super hard and pushed up super far, while I am back pushing the payload bot. Then, I get a warning for inactivity!
I was not inactive. I was contributing pushing bot, shuffling around to make sure that I was not a dead target. But then I got the warning, and the fight was pushed up far enough to the point I could not get to an enemy. I then got kicked and banned.
What kind of system is that? I got kicked for playing?
I have loved OW for years, poured many an hour into it. But, I did get used to not playing it⌠maybe this is a sign I should stop for good?

Were you not firing your weapon? I donât think moving around is enough. You need to shoot at a wall or something for the afk timer to go away.

I got kicked for inactivity while loading into the map because someone else quit the match early, causing me to get dropped in. So now Iâm âsuspendedâ for 2 hours.

I was on point in stadium as Ash. My team was spawn camping, which I am against, so I stayed on point. I was moving around, throwing random dynamite, and shooting and the system couldnt care less. I got kick and suspended. This is the first time Ive been kicked from a game do to âinactivityâ and Im pissed about it cause it wasnt even my fault. Overwatch fix your game.

Have you been playing mercy by chance?
I think you need to be moving around and doing healing or damage from time to time in order to not get kicked.
I was also kicked today in a stadium match while playing ashe for pushing bot. Once I got the notification, I moved up from bot to the team fight in an attempt to do damage with shooting or damage with dynamite. However, the timer did not stop and still kicked me for inactivity.
Yeah my game wouldnât load as the game is being buggy (not my Internet as Internet is fine) I then just about managed to leave the spawn and got booted for being afk
