Ok I so i like to go into the fun chill custom games and it auto selected a lobby for me, the person running it kicked me for not joining voice chat then proceeded to ban me from it.
Why on Earth ? just because I wouldn’t join voice chat so they could hit on me or w/e their plan was. Why is this acceptable?
not unheard of, it is their game after all…but theres a million fish in the sea…just go to another i guess
Everyone can host their own custom games… And thus can choose who can or can not participate in their lobby. If this bothers you, you can host your own lobby(it should fill up pretty quickly) and make your own rules. The problem with auto-joining is that you can’t see the specific title/description of the lobby you joined so you can’t know if maybe they did put something in the title or description stating it was VC only
These kinds of host are absolutely pathetic power abusers. What if we don’t want to hear your squeaky annoying voices?
I reported them regardless, hosts like that need to go play something else.
Some players will be tyrants if given the chance… their private lobby, their egotistical rules lol. 
They literally made their own game with their own roles. Just go somewhere else.
I assume that voice chat was more or less required for whatever it is they wanted to achieve and after you refused, it was pretty obvious you were not compatible with that lobby?
“oh, you want to play as a team, go make your own custom lobby and play there.”
Proceeds to go make custom lobby to play the game the way they want to.
“you kicked me out of your custom lobby because I didn’t want to play the game you created in your custom lobby. You need to leave the game.”
And people wonder why Overwatch, or Blizzard in general, is not having such a good time.
Why on Earth not? It’s their custom game lobby. If you don’t want to play by their rules that’s not their fault. Go make your own lobby.
Maybe whatever mode they joined in needs voice chat for it to function properly? It is a custom game after all.
What kind of ridiculous nonsense is that? You think someone programmed a voice activated custom game in the workshop that only works if you speak? No it’s a simple place you go to when you’re tired of fighting others.

No; I think the custom game they were playing could have required people talking in voice for it to play out properly. Could also have been some chill and kill where the rules stated people need to use their mic. Like there are a ton of different custom games out there. If they were asked to use voice for whatever game they joined and they didn’t want to, it makes sense for them to kick so someone else can join who is willing to.
It wasn’t even a real game it was a Friendly chill mode where you don’t kill you just hang around and play around with voice lines, make yourself grow etc. VOICE chat should not even been a requirement but the person who hosted the game was well known for their INCELIOUS behavior toward female gamers. 9 out of 10 times they just want voice chat enable so they can show how thirsty they are, I am not interested in such games. WHY blizzard allows this is them just allowing a toxic game.
TRASH game is trash.
These host afk with a sit taunt and do absolutely nothing. There’s absolutely no reason to boot the players moving around and interacting with the others trying to have fun even without a mic. Your scenario is as ridiculous as the host themselves.
If you know who the creator is and want nothing to do with them; you got your heart’s desire given you cannot join anymore.
We do not know what lobby they joined. If it stated must use mic, then what is the issue? They can join other servers if they didn’t want to use their mic. Sure I could be totally wrong about the rules for the lobby, as the OP did not elaborate. But if they random joined into a lobby, and didn’t follow the rules the host made, then being kicked seems fairly expected.
It was the FRIENDLY 
UPDATED custom games. Most hosts I’ve come across do not require mic but the game auto put me there so I thought that was a little odd, imagine the surprise of a new player to the game trying this out ? ouch.
It was an EZ REPORT regardless.
These host are worthless. Friendly yet they boot those who are friendly and doing nothing wrong.
The same reasons why chill AND kill servers are also a failed concept. You can’t chill if you’re being killed especially when the host is abusing powers to kill you and you can’t kill them in return.
