Keyboard is getting disconnected

Overwatch is dropping my keyboard for a split second (RGB is flickering, no input received). It started yesterday.
After the split second it still uses the input which was pressed prior the drop.
E.g. strafing left, keyboard flickers, let go of all the buttons during it, character still goes left. It happens rather frequently 10-20s.
The problem only occurs only in Overwatch everything else is rock solid.
Keyboard is a GIGABYTE K85, all drives are up to date. Anyone had the same?

Update! Same happens in Hearthstone!

Hey there,

Keyboard flickering or losing power like this could be the result of a power issue from the motherboard or power supply, or the keyboard starting to fail.

Try testing a different USB port if possible. If you have a spare keyboard or one that you can borrow from another PC see if it happens the same way with a different keyboard.

You could also try rebooting using Selective Startup then test Overwatch 2 again, which may help narrow down if there’s something running in the background that might be conflicting between the keyboard and the game.

  1. Press Windows Key + R .
  2. Type msconfig and press Enter .
  3. Select Selective startup and uncheck Load startup items .
  4. Select the Services tab.
  5. Check Hide all Microsoft services .
Note : Skipping this step may prevent your computer from rebooting correctly.
  6. Click Disable all .
  7. Click Apply then click OK .
  8. Click Restart
