Kephrii Quit Overwatch Because of Hackers

Cheating must be something only really in high ranks, because I’ve hardly seen any, if any cheaters at all.

Chances are you probably have, but just didn’t know it. The aimbotting isn’t so obvious anymore. The cheat devs have gotten really good. I.E. a player on a new account with god-like aim playing in gold, plat, or diamond. Or a player scoped in on a random wall instead of the choke. Nowadays you really have to pay attention or know what you are looking for.

I never understand why this people resort in using cheats for multiplayer. They should just stop playing mp if they are going to resort to using a software to help them. What is the point of all of this?. What are they achieving?.

Completely agree, he said, and I’m loosely quoting here that “hackers are devaluing his skill in the game. That if anyone can just download a program and be as good as him, why even play the game?”

Are we all forgetting the time kephrii was angery at Zerg, the kid widow main that was beating him?

I think he eventually apologised, but not after trying to get his whole team report them for cheating.

Everyone makes mistakes. At least he owned up to it. His frustration at the hands-off approach that Blizzard takes in trying to program bots which detects cheats instead of having more people looking into cases individually, is understandable. Their method is not fast enough and not punishing enough.

I know it’s not perfect, but hardware ID bans should be employed. When a computer is used improperly like this, ultimately the owner is responsible for it anyway, for letting anyone use their computer.

You should be able to answer this for yourself. Do you get any benefit from Widow’s ult?

Except I reported someone who was blatantly hacking and it took Blizzard roughly 5 weeks to take action. Not to mention the hacking was obvious.

I was formerly subbed to his YouTube channel, I not only respected him as a pro Widow player and former service member but was genuinely moved by what seemed like a happy, loving relationship with his meek wife. When I found out it was all a well curated deception by an unfaithful, manipulative deviant, I felt duped and somewhat betrayed. I don’t tend to forgive or forget such things easily.

Well good thing I can sit on my console with no one hacking in my game

The only widow he falsely accused was ZerG, who he apologized to and became friends with mere hours later.

He plays fps games, he has REALLY good aim, of course he can spot a cheater. He’s jokingly called people cheaters before, but he has an odd personality.

This game is absolutely doomed.

He’s playing a lot of things, obv Apex, I saw him playing rainbowsix a ton earlier, not sure about the others.

Or you haven’t and suspect somebody playing very good as Cheater .

Oh no, the ever so famous randomforumuser#23345 doesn’t know about the existence of a well-known streamer, thus said streamer must be irrelevant.

Didn’t he literally post a gameplay video today on his YT channel? I don’t watch Twitch so I don’t know.

Kephrii is the icon Widowmaker main since the game released. He is to Widow what ShadowBurn is to Genji.

If you were involved in the community early on there’s no way you wouldn’t have heard him. He was THE widow player. Maybe not the best but certainly the most popular.

Also as far as I know his streams are around 2k viewers, for like 2 years now? He’s pretty well known.

i dont realy see that many hackers. maybe 1 in 20-30 games. but also who wants to hack in diamond…

Hardware ID bans are a thing. Maximillianmus, a youtuber, the OH YEAH YEAH guy with the Deus Ex profile pics (no way you haven’t seen these :p) was hardware banned from playing OW.

I know it’s different at GM. But I’ve played this game since launch, and I’ve seen ONE hacker.
