For the past three days, every few rounds my game all of a sudden stops, the characters stop moving, and I’m kicked to the home screen, where it says searching for game. Sometimes it then brings me right back into the game, but now it kicks me out of the game and says “disconnected from game server.” There’s no reason for this to be happening, I haven’t updated my drivers, so I don’t know why this is happening. I just want to play the game during the event!
It’s been happening to me as well recently, multiple times a day. Windows shows my internet connection (glasfiber through a LAN, no WiFi) going down for a few seconds, then it comes back up.
I never notice these connection drops outside of Overwatch, but that just might be because they’re pretty short and I don’t really stream stuff or play other games that require constant connection.
I’ve done de /ipconfig release & renew, updated my network adapter’s drivers, but it hasn’t helped. Hoping someone has had the same happen and/or can point to possible solutions.

It looks like you may be on a school network which can cause issues with the connection for the game. If you have the option I’d recommend testing with a different network.
Past that we’ll want to get a WinMTR test ran. You’ll want to run that for about 10-15 minutes during the issue and post the results here. To get past any link restrictions you’ll want to encase the report with a set of ` (on the tilde key) like so:

i have this problem too, lost 3 or 4 competitive games because of it. My internet is fine havnt changed a thing. Also the last disconnect was to apply a patch in the middle of a competitive game i mean really?
Getting this too blizzard refusing to do anything about it . Already called multiple people that their rams are bad just how much they have fallen… now i cant even play a game UNEXPECTED SERVER ERROR OFC ITS MY FAULT again… with 120m/b internet high end pc. Where i never got single problem like this is last few years . But ITS MY FAULT…
