I just waited 40 min on the DPS queue. Has anyone encountered the same situation like me? Or is it just a bug?
If it’s not a bug, then it’s totally insane. Blizzard should implement some kind of rewarding mechanism so that tank players get rewarded, such as the priority token to the other queues. Without any reward, this will just get worse and worse.
NO I have not. Now. I’ve had nearly 7-10 minute Q times in Quickplay. if they are that long. I usually am bored, and begin to search the net for memes by 2 minutes in, and generally I am so bored that I lose my matches anyway. Just out of boredom and loss of interest from the dreadful waiting times.
Giving priority queue to tank players will only encourage them to play more DPS and make queues longer.
Requiring a win for a Tank player equates to roughly 2 Tank games for one “fastpass” token.
And if a fastpass is worth only about 5-10 minutes discount on queue times, I kinda fail to see how spending 40+ minutes to save 5-10 minutes would be a problem.

Perhaps, but it seems like this is less about whether it’s a good or bad idea, and more about not wanting Role Queue to be fixed.
That doesn’t sound right, not at your rank. Is your region Antarctica?

I think having the option to Tank instead of AFK would be preferable.
Also throw in backfill in Comp for the first 30sec to deal with AFKers.
At this point just rework some of heroes in the Damage department make them into a Support or Tank.
Make Mei and Doomfist into Off Tanks.
Torbjörn maybe into a Armor/Turret Support Hero.
I think the idea that we need a larger number of heroes to fix tanking, is not the correct way to think about things.

You get CCed so much you might as well be AFK.
No, I’m in Europe, and normally it should take 10~15 min.
More tank heroes wouldn’t really help all that much. People don’t like playing tanks, while having even double the options of tanks to play may help slightly, it wouldn’t do much.
And you’d still end up with 2 off-tanks.
And Rein got a massive CC reduction, and Orisa constantly has a CC immunity ability.
Also Brig is mostly irrelevant to the meta nowadays.
