Just switched to PC. Is there a way to transfer or share my progress from my console?

I hope I’m not going to lose all my progress…

Certain skins you got ( such as blizzcon skins / sombra demon hunter skin ) will carry over to other platforms.

Nothing else will.

Edit : Sombra demon hunter skin will ONLY transfer over to other platforms if you got it with the blizzcon virtual ticket. It will NOT transfer if you got it during the 3 week mini event.

What a weird exception. Of all the skins it makes sense to transfer the exclusive ones, but if you can transfer the exclusive ones why not everything else =\

Influencing ( I couldn’t think of a better word ) players to buy more lootboxes.

Why pay for boxes when you can transfer all your unlocks over to another platform for free.

Well this is unfortunate…hah

Incentive?

Does your currency carry over? It’s just cosmetic so it doesn’t matter, but it just seems like a silly low blow and is a sort of incentive to only stick to certain platforms. Presumably the console version will die off fastest so havin GM the option to jump in to PC with your “progress” in tact would be a nice means of encouraging play/increasing game lifetime (not to mention the Switch version).

I’m on PC and have no interest in going anywhere else so it doesn’t effect me, and I dunno how much money they’d really make off console players moving to PC. On the the other hand, how much money would they make if they spent development time doing it? Is the console to PC (and the Switch) really a significant group that it’s worth spending dev time on?

For only $19.99
Jokes aside, there isn’t… Sadly

There’s exceptions like the twitch unlocks e.g. sprays and OWL pass skins.

Otherwise nothing transfers.

I believe it’s because the unlock is tied to ownership on your bnet account as opposed to progress on your OW profile. Purchases are global whereas progress is not.

Thanks for the responses everyone!

odd, I did not unlock ANY of those on my Switch.

I have the OWL skins from the pass.

Considering Destiny 2 managed to release on Steam and allow people to transfer all progress over from Xbox/Playstation it does seem like Blizzard should’ve been able to figure this out.

Unfortunately they haven’t managed to figure out cross-platform progress or play for any of their games thus far.

Maybe in OW2?

That’s odd.

I got my OWL skins and Nano cola, Ashe, Bap and Baset mini event sprays on pc coming from console. Maybe switch is the exception? or it’s not linked properly.

It’s more to do with Sony/Microsoft not wanting to share their playerbase, so they’re making it as complicated as possible to make a compromise with Blizzard to allow progress transfer.

It’s all different licenses, and console doesn’t want to lose customers.

Your cosmetics wont, and should. (minus the promotional/blizzcon stuff someone else mentioned)
Your rank won’t, and most definitely should not.
Your level won’t, and possibly should but probably shouldn’t.

It’s basically like you’re a newbie again. Which in a way is good when you’re coming from console to pc or vice versa since it’s a whole new ballgame mechanically, however there is really no reason that cosmetics shouldn’t transfer over outside of pure greed.

because those are labeled with a blizzard icon. meaning that they’ll exist across your shared accounts. This is only in some cases though. Like blizzcon skins and for some reason the mercy mini challenge. That transfers over too but nothing else like bastet or brick bastion. its weird.

There is no cross save in Overwatch…

So yeah, hope they add this in the near future.

I would pay to have my exclusive skins from console on my PC account
but the devs said its out of their hands

Neither sony, nor microsoft own the nintendo switch, you can’t move stuff onto that platform either.

Pretty sure you can’t buy loot boxes for Switch anyway. So…
