I JUST WANT TO PLAY SUPPORT
Now every one in the game suffers because I have to play DPS when duoing with my friend because im locked out of the other roles.

No thanx. But they did say people will be able to queue further apart when the ranked system gets changes. So you should be able to play with your friend, just the idea is you go against other groups with wider skill levels between players.
Then play open queue
Idk what the problem is here, we have a mode for this, open queue. Don’t Like that you can’t play role queue because each role is ranked? Then tough luck, you or your friend need to focus on ranking up if you want to play on your role.
I don’t want to play with a gold tank who just so happens to be diamond on support and can play with me because of a separate rank that has nothing to do with the current role they are on.
This is why we have separate ranks for each role, in role queue, if you don’t like that then simply play open queue. You can play whatever you want in open queue if you and your friend are around the same ranks, or you can just wait until season 9 competitive changes come out for playing in groups.
Yeah, nah. I’m definitely better at Support and DPS than Tank.

but you yourself are saying that the difference between your DPS and your other roles is large enough for you to queue with your friends or not.
unless you mean support is easy enough that being bronze it in it doesn’t make a difference, in which case, why are you bronze in support
I’m more or less masters across all roles except tank (balance was too severe, messed up my muscle memory).
Game really needs more features and freedom.
I’ve got a better idea than yours! If your queue time ends up being more than 5 minutes, then there has to be a confirmation for all players in order to start the match. This saves time from people who went AFK because be honest, who is actually going to wait for long queue times? It will also save people from getting banned or losing MMR.
Same, and it’s not close either.
DPS is easier you can easily get carried in a game as long as you hit ur ult good and kill the 1 important person in a game.
Support really can feel like your at the whims of your teammates sometimes.
Yeah they did this in OW1. You ended up with a lot of one-tricks and boosted players who had no flexibility at all. Then when role queue came out and you couldn’t just swap to cover them, it got even worse.
Separating SR by role is a necessary evil as long as role queue is a thing.
i think you should have role queue still, but you your account will still have one rank.
Open queue sucks though
As awful and funny as that would be for my teammates if I’d ever queue tank I don’t think it’s a good idea
