Just played a game of Flashpoint

Both teams agreed that we would do a Rein 1v1 to determine who gets the points. Twas a good match

What do yall think of situations like this? Personally I just find them to be a fun time. Torb 1v1 with hammers only anyone?

Hammertime! Love it!

Bingo! Bingo!

Its a treat when those types of 1vs1 happen in lobbies imo. Fair too, the rest of the players can still play the game at no disadvantage. I like it more when everyone just chills and watches.

Good times :+1:

I might got a garbage mode, but i still want to play a game… not watch 2 people having a 1v1 few times while I stand around and do nothing…

But it’s still better than baboons that hold entire lobby hostage by intentionally keeping the game in OT.

Fair enough. I won’t argue there

I don’t mind them in QP. However, I also don’t want to see the Lucio who tries to start an emote party cry in chat when everyone else is wanting to actually play the game, and he gets mercilessly gunned down. You only get to do this stuff if the other people agree on it.

I had a game where me (Kiriko) and the enemy Doom avoided attacking each other, because we had this situation where we were the last two standing after a team fight and he broke out an emote. So I climbed on his head and did a few crouches. A silent accord was struck. We sent each other smooches in chat at the end of the game and that was that.

Any game on tank where you don’t have to play Orisa or Doom is a good game

I like them if everyone agrees, I Personally prefer to play after sitting in q, but I did enjoy them in owl or owwc when they did it.

I’m fine with it if everyone is on board and the duel switches for every point.

Rein v Rein for point 1.
Sojurn v Sojourn for point 2.
Etc.

Everyone needs to potentially participate.

Sounds awesome as long as everyone agrees. If only a few people are on board then this is throwing

If everyone had fun, that’s good, but it’s also good when people actually play the map as intended and have fun. I don’t get the flashpoint hate personally. 2cp was far worse, and even without 2cp anymore, I still find defence worse.

Thank God payload is only 1 round on QP. 4 rounds in comp just kills my enjoyment with defence twice, 30 minute match, and then you still lose…

Plus you have a 50/50 chance of attack in QP.

personally i just think its kinda cringe , im here to play a team based game not to watch 2 guys test whos better at something easy , but what do i know you do you :joy:

Truth. Long comp matches were the worst, exactly as you described.

Shorter matches has 2 big advantages imo-

  1. Not getting stuck with bad teammates for 20+minutes.
  2. More games. This is straightforward, more games is better than less games, at least in regards to rank.
  3. More freaking games. Deserves two bullet points. More games per play session adds more variety, more maps to play on, more modes to play in.

The more time goes on, the more I think I’m never going back to comp. I enjoy the game too much to, thats me being as honest as I can about it.

this is what arcade mode is for, but it doesnt matter to me i leave flashpoint maps at load screen

One of my fondest memories from Overwatch was when I was playing a quick match on Lijiang Tower before I had to leave for the day and we had a cease fire to allow the wreckingballs to 1v1 each other.

Sounds better than playing an entire match of that slop, and a lot more fun for everyone involved.

let me get this straight. you want 8/10 people to sit by and watch the other 2/10 have fun? with the new leaver penalty? honest answer, please.

I still owe Roly a 1v1

If everyone aggrees, it’s fine.
And i guess everyone else can always brawl outside of the point if they don’t just want to sit by.
