You don’t even need consistency with headshots anymore, just land a few every now and then and use storm arrows for the brunt of the work
Come on man…you’re grasping at straws now, so what if the guy plays the Off-Supports more than the Main-Supports?
Is that necessarily a bad thing?
Also…Ana is his most played hero in Competitive this season.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Ana a Main-Support?
Wait, Ana is a support? I thought they just added her to feed and be useless in most scenarios.
So are you gonna actually make a counter-argument, or just gripe about one little detail?
Excuse me for my possibly outdated mindset, but I’ve been around since the beginning. I guess I’m a little stuck on the months where Ana was the least viable healer
lmao god in other games players rile against enforced meta in this game the players enforce it themselves with the very real threat of bannings
You did not just do that. You did not go around strawmanning me and then accuse me of ignoring the issue. Oh my word you did
FeelsBadMan. Too real Cerberus. Too real
Capital D Colon…
Because I’m a McCree and at some point Hanzo will be nerfed and McCree will (hopefully) be addressed. No point learning two heroes that play the same role.
Actually Hanzo actually has the smallest projectiles in the game, confirmed by Geoff Goodman.
Are you going to say you weren’t ignoring the issue? Because all I saw was a rant about Ana that didn’t mention the actual points brought up
McCree is good at countering flankers. Deathball meta has very little flankers with Brig. It’s not the same role.
What points? The points that were literally based on me not having a main tank or support despite that not being true? You’re coming after me for a rant when this is because of some weak strawman you keep trying to form?
I remember when McCree was a tank buster with his FTH…
But then they decided to nerf it then give it to hanzo instead on a CD of 8 seconds made it so you can hold the shots and then give him a Dash for amazing Mobility aswell.
Man, I dont know what you hope to accomplish. Even winning the easy fights like ‘hey, we could use Avoid as Teammate’ took months on end.
Asking for hero swaps is akin to spitting in some people’s faces around here.
A developer flat out dispelled this myth when someone repeated it and said Hanzo’s arrows are some of the smallest projectiles in the game.
I agree with this and it’s why I said I understand the frustration of the not switching.
A Hanzo that cannot hit dps characters is a liability. Yes you can get charge from tanks and that applies to every dps but you still need to be able to kill smaller hitbox characters.
You have multiple people(some dps mains I’m guessing, I didn’t check) telling you that they suck at Hanzo and you’re still like nah its much easier than you think it is. Lol, if it was people would just play Hanzo, I’m not being self-deprecating, I’ve always been bad at Hanzo and while his projectiles are more like McCree I’ve always been bad on McCree as well.
This is one of the areas where I feel like a lot of the forum bias and memes come from really not understanding the dps roles and just looking at them as pure damage bots. Your comment of I thought you guys liked to play high skilled characters comes from a place of not understanding how wildly different the dps characters are.
I’ll link Iostux again if you didn’t see it the first time
If you seriously only saw the part about your hero choice, I suggest you go re-read that post, in its entirety
Cree is more of a tank buster than anti-flank. Flashbang is the only thing that gives him any anti-flank potential. Though yeah, I know I need to pick him up at some stage it just sucks seeing as he just does everything McCree does but better.
Also being in gold means I don’t need to strictly follow the meta.
Yeah I think you are right. Time to let it die.
An inconsistent Hanzo is a useless Hanzo.
Spamming damage into the tanks can get ult charge, sure, but by the time it takes dragonstrike to charge another pick could’ve probably gotten the kills you needed to win the fight.
Dive might be weaker now but its heroes are still popular. There’s still Tracer running circles around you, Genji still counters you, Dva’s really high spike damage in your face, Winston can still fry you-- especially in lower ranks where there’s not a lot of coordination or communication going on.
He is one of those heroes that only works if in the meta if you play him already.
To play a sniper you have to have confidence; you’re going to be the team’s punching bag every time something goes wrong or if you lose the round/point. He’s not like Soldier or Junkrat to where you can just pick him up and expect to get something done.
There’s lots of other heroes that synergize with Zarya too. Pulse bomb, Dva bomb, even just junkrat spam, a pharah ult, etc.
He’s a very good hero to learn right now; but I think you’re underestimating how challenging it can be to be effective. Its one thing when you’re in quickplay and everything is sporadic. Its another when you’re in comp against an organized team, you cant break the choke, and the dva goes “whY Do I HAvE GoLd ELIMS???”
Playing a sniper is rough.
