With the new changes to penalties for leaving games, and zero reward for staying in a game, I’m just not gonna queue for Unranked anymore. If I’m not having fun or my internet drops for 0.5 seconds, I should be allowed to leave. That’s the entire point of having an unranked mode. If you want zero leavers ever with maximum sweat, queue up for a Ranked game. Stop ruining Unranked with Ranked rulesets and mentality. Some people just want to play for fun and not worry about disconnects or having to put in maximum effort.

That’s why custom games and arcade modes exist. Unranked mode doesn’t exclusively mean “mess around and have fun”, it just means unranked, it’s a catch-all mode for all types of players. Not sure when you “just wanna have fun” players decided unranked was specifically for you and no other attitudes are allowed, but it’s not and never was. Check your egos please, the game doesn’t only belong to you nor should it be played based on your specific set of criteria for what QP should be. Custom games or skirmish has everything you could want to satisfy your “fun” while still being able to leave without punishment when your “fun” ends.

You were playing ranked with bad internet?
What people fail to understand is that you can quit. Just don’t make it a regular thing where you’re quitting every other match and it’s good.
And for people that struggle with their internet frequently enough to get punished for it, they should’ve been sticking to custom games forever now as they genuinely ruin the game for others intentionally or not.

If you disconnect from Unranked you get hit with penalties, just like in Ranked. They changed it from a 75% XP penalty for disconnecting from 4/20 of your last games to a 10 min ban.
How to fix leaver problem. Match leavers with and against other leavers. The more you leave games, the more likely that you’re going to get put into leaver’s queue. Those who doesn’t want to get put into leavers queue will stay now. There, fixed the leaver problem for you without resorting to just punishing leavers with no rewards for staying.
