Such a simple change and it would make the game so much more enjoyable. Don’t change the challenges themselves, just take the coin rewards from weekly to daily. After a week of doing these dailies, you’d be getting 420
coins. Now doesn’t that number just sound nice and cozy as if you could mellow out with it? Sure, it’d still like five weeks to get enough for a legendary skin, but it’d be way better than the current 32 weeks.
And you can actually still do something for weekly challenges - put three lootboxes over there. You can even alter them from what they used to be, like they drop only OW1 cosmectics, no currency or no legendary items.

This would be such a nice change. I would definitely like this and so would many players I think. So, there’s absolutely no way Bli$$ard will do it.

They would lose 60 cents though. That’s far too easy and consumer friendly.

It’s that or lose 6000 players per week.

I don’t see why they can’t put some coins in the battlepass. It would be an easy fix and might encourage some people to get the battlepass.

It’d be amazing, doubt it’s ever gonna happen.
I really wish they did this, or as an alternative any cosmetic that you don’t want can be exchanged for its coin value (I really don’t want that Soldier skin, or that Symmetra skin).

Activision is having heart palpitations just thinking about this suggestion.

I’m sure if were to make it so you can earn coins so easily, they’d try to balance it by jacking up the store prices since now people will be getting coins faster. I think the problem will remain but now you’ll just see higher numbers.

think about it, they give 5 OWL tokens an hour
they’re expecting players to play the game at least 12 hours a week to get the 60 Overwatch coins
I’m convinced they based the weekly length on people farming OWL coins lol

I’d rather they just lowered the prices. Not everyone can play every day, so weekly provides people with more of an opportunity to obtain their rewards.

I’m not a Fortnite expertise but doesn’t that game allow you to work towards the next pass without having to pay for it at all? Overwatch should implement something like that with the coins.
The problem with the coins right now is that in order to be able to buy the pass without coughing up money, you’d have to complete all weekly challenges for 17 weeks, or about 4 months.

yeah, my jaw dropped when I realized the daily changes were effectively nothing but movement of the battle pass.
i’d say that weekly challenge should remain they way they are but each day’s challenges should give a random assortment of coins + experience and then endorsement levels should also give coins.

They could add more coins to the weekly (50/25/15) and 50 coins in each tier on BP. They could add 5 coins in role queue limited to 10 matches to per day.

Fortnite is the game I was thinking of when I made that post.
You can earn coins through by leveling up, so you can pay for the next battlepass.
The battlepass costs 950 coins, and you can earn 1,500 coins if you reach level 100. So not only can you pay for the next battle pass, you have extra left over for something else.
Yup.
The amount of coins you earn right now is negligible compared to how much a skin currently costs.

The Symmetra skin looks awful!
It doesn’t suit her at all.
The glasses look horrid and I’m not sure why they felt the need to cut her hair.

It’s absolute torture enough to even get 50 coins. EVERY SINGLE GAME I HAVE TO AVOID 3 NEW PEOPLE. STOP WASTING MY TIME BLIZZARD OR AT LEAST MAKE IT WORTHWHILE. YOU’D SOONER FINISH EVERY OTHER CHALLENGE BESIDES THE WIN 15 GAME ONE WITH THIS GARBAGE MATCHMAKING

It would only be ten coins per day which is about a nickel.
This so much, unfortunately. Plus it would allow people to farm the battle pass. It’s a big no-no for Bli$$ard-Activision.

They would lose all BP sales or the most of it. 17 days for the BP?
