Just increase Mercy and Kiriko's Ages by 10 Years

Kiriko can be a Hyperactive Brat because the Fox Spirit is giving her a Donut-Induced Sugar High all the Time, IDK.

Mercy looks young because of Medicine, IDK.

Basically Kiriko should be the same age as Hanzo and Genji, simple.

Mercy should be a lot older than Pharah, who was seen as a Child in a Photo next to Mercy in a Line-up of Overwatch Members, when Mercy should’ve Joined Overwatch somewhere in her 20s, so Mercy can’t be 15 in said Photo and Pharah would’ve been a very tiny 15 Year Old.

If they’re going to make us Pay for Lore now, they could at least be Coherent.

Kiriko’s age makes no sense. Like sure, she’s a cute ninja girl, but why not make it relevant to LORE. Kiriko and Genji supposedly trained together, but Hanzo apparently struck Genji down when they were early twenties, making Kiriko 4-6 years old?! Blizzard really needs to take a break on making bad decisions and work on the lore for their game.

No… she is supposed to be at least 10 years younger.

We saw her as a little kid training with Shimadas while they were in their late teens!

Genji and Hanzo look no older than 13. Kiriko looks 8~.

Even if they arent the same age, Kiriko should be in her early 30s, not 20 years younger than either of them.

because the lore doesn’t matter. It never has and blizzard proved it again by releasing those hero ages.
They don’t know how to write a story and it’s obvious.

Nah, she was what, 6 in that Image (?) and Genji looked like 12, but there’s actually a 15 YEAR AGE GAP?! HUH?

Does Genji look like a 21 Year Old to you in that Photo? And if Kiriko is older than 6, that means that Genji would also be older.

Increasing the ages of Mercy (and Sojourn) would be easy, as it only makes sense for them to be older than they actually are.

But it seems more tricky for Kiriko, who makes as much sense being 21 as she does being around 30. Her design and personality seems suitable for zoomers, though I’ve definitely met people around 30 who look and act like Kiriko. As for lore, her acquaintance with Genji and Hanzo would put her age close to theirs, but there are other parts, like the death of Sojiro Shimada and Kiriko joining the Yokai, that would suggest she is younger.

Yeah, but Kiriko isn’t a Zoomer. If anything, Reinhardt and Sigma are Zoomers.

Kiri is Japanese. She’d still be looking young at 30.

I meant she appeals to zoomers IRL, partly because she looks young. It’s probably why she appears on a lot of marketing material.

I think Spherical Cow is meant to be an actual Sciencey Term? Could’ve sworn I heard it as a Joke or something. But no, the Blackhole made him Schizophrenic+.

As for Reinhardt, yeah he’s a Zoomer, listens to Old Music from his Generation and wants to Smash things with a Hammer.

Kiriko’s feedback (https://www.dexerto.com/overwatch/overwatch-2-players-argue-that-kirikos-age-makes-no-sense-2284264/) is unlikely to be ignored. and let it be clear that OW1 was not exempt from these distractions. I remember well that they changed Brigitte’s age which didn’t correspond decently with the description of the “white dome” mission. Or even mccree / cassidy in 2016, when they changed his age because he would have been too young as a new Overwatch agent.

on mercy … stop it :no_good_man:, she doesn’t have any kind of inconsistency and is explained here. instead, focus on more relevant feedback for Sojourn’s age with her book. :point_left:

If they are all made of some kind of robot part, wouldn’t that make them all immortal, and stay the age they were when they were transformed? Just a thought.

The irrepairable damage Ana’s origin story has done to the community’s perception of the lore is insane,and it’s all Blizzard’s fault.
Mercy is not an Overwatch member in that photo,she’s there because she’s family friends with Torbjorn,however,during that time the Overwatch team was really inconsistent as portraying the character as their correct age.
For example in the same video Ana gets shot by Widow and she has full black hair,then she’s a grandma with grey hair in the hospital recovering.
Another major mistake is Cassidy’s presence,he’s the same age as Mercy so he is also a minor,and a Blackwatch member,he should’t be there.This was later corrected in the Deadlock Rebels novel.

The art from Ana’s origin story needs to be retconned already.And not even just that,there’s a lot of art from 2016 that’s wildly inaccurate.
Mistakes like this are still made to this day,Sojourn’s age on the website implies her sister had a child at like 14 years old.
