Juno seems to be a weird fusion of existing heroes

i was really hoping for some kind of new unique supportive mechanic, but it looks like what we got is a jack of all trades type of support that can do everything pretty much

when i first saw the concept art for space ranger i assumed that she would have some kind of low gravity mechanic to let her allies float around, in my opinion that would have been way cooler than what was shown in the trailer

Same. I expected high jumps or forced floating on enemies.

Kit looks cool, so I’m not hating here, but it does feel like:

  1. They stole the speedup half ring from Fallguys
  2. Her run cycle is lucio’s but with a dip to make it look floaty
  3. Her ultimate beam is the animation of Doomfist rising/descending on a short sped up loop

Still, a second mobile healer with group heals and speed boost is a welcome addition.

I don’t know how SR will shake out because we don’t know her numbers, but I’m actually very happy she has speed instead of some new gimmick. There’s been a spot in the support roster for another speedster, particularly one that can hold their own when it comes to single-target healing, for years and years. If that’s being filled (since we don’t know for sure how strong her healing is) then that’s fantastic, and I much prefer that to getting another Lifeweaver that’s unique but also rather unwanted.

This goes double because her ult looks like a complete bunker buster. If she goes into healbot mode the team will lack pressure in the short term, yes, but she’ll be building up ult much more easily and can then plough through the enemy team to make up for it. If LW plays as a complete healbot, the team lacks pressure in the short term and gets tree as a reward. Which is a cool and good ult, but doesn’t make up for having less than a thousand damage done per ten minutes.

Bland abilities. Nothing unique about Juno.
I get that people like new heroes, but I prefer quality over quantity personally.
At this point it feels like Team 4 have given up on originality and just copy from Splatoon/Apex/Valorant/et cetera.

imagine you had to Design a character that is nevet ever shown anywhere even remotely similar.

I mean shows like the simpsons would get deleted because theres nothing that hasn’t been done before somewhere else to some degree.

not that it would matter anyway.

I imagine people look at a new game and be like… but… but… Halo 1 back in 1865 had trees in it and stones! why copy such things? :sweat_smile:

Honestly, there should be some overlap between heroes. If I want to speedboost my team, I should have more options than just Lucio.
