in hindsight, we mainly liked junos design because:
a) no OP immortalities
b) not as weak as release lifeweaver
the team did a good job, however there remains some problems with her design. there isn’t much incentive to make plays or skill expression, just shoot shoot hide behind team, and use auto-aim abilities for easy kills and finishers, use ult insta win team fight.
make her flight more interesting and powerful like pharah, and let her headshot. in return, lower auto aim ability power and nerf ultimate.
or even rework auto aim completely and rework ult.
this will make Juno the flying support she was always meant to be

She’s fine, no reason to rework what works. Honestly just needs nerfs so we are not stuck with this meta for another season.

Correct, she needs huge nerf before adding her to OWC :))
Importantly the correct nerfs. I’ve been saying for awhile now that the thing that needs nerfs is her speed ring. Nerf the cool down and how long it lasts by 1 second each and problem solved.
Edit: to clarify I don’t mean how long you keep the speed effect but how long the ring is available on the battlefield.

That’s the nerf she likely needs, Brigitte on the other hand needs a few. At this point I think she’s the stronger part of Juno/Brig and is the one that is keeping it’s current stranglehold on the META.

Omg. I cant wait for the new tank to finally come out so the forums can start witch hunting that guy instead, and forget all about Juno. For the most part, that is…
Juno has already taken nasty balance hits. So, she doesn’t need anymore nerfs, and she definitely doesn’t need a rework. Letting her headshot would be cool though.

Juno not need more nerfs, stop, she is okay.

Every hero doesn’t need a rework. Is she still a bit too strong, yes. But number tweaks can change that.

Do you think it has anything to do with 90 healing per second and massively power creeping healing lolololol.
The gm players just said she was honest bc she wasn’t a great duelist…. Yet dueling and less healing is arguably wayyyyy more healthy. Carry through offense not just heal botting
I’m not sure. It’s really hard to tease apart synergies. This is actually why I like 5v5 because in 6v6 a tank synergy would often result in the wrong tank being nerfed repeatedly to the point that they were still meta but entirely useless unless played in the meta comp. I don’t want to see that happen to either Juno or Brig.
The thing is speed ring makes Brig more effective but Brig also makes the Juno more survivable. And which comes first, the chicken or the egg.
I do feel like they are both better together than apart. Brig can also pair decently with Ana. Juno actually works pretty well with Kiriko IMO. But neither of those is as strong as Juno/Brig.
Maybe they both need a nerf but I struggle with how you would nerf Brig that wouldn’t make her feel bad to play in other pairings. Still hopefully they nerf Juno in a way that actually cuts the synergy (speed ring) while leaving her fun in tact. I’d hate to see a giga nerf that just makes her bad or makes her feel bad.

Brig is being ran with so many other supports in pro play…. The brig stays constant the Juno does not.
Juno got a lot of nerfs brig not many.
I agree brig is by far the stronger one in the brig/juno duo

That’s fair. I can see that.

What needs to be nerfed and reworked… is brig.
The problem is brig. It’s always been brig. It will continue to be brig.
Juno has the clear weakness of no self healing. At all. It’s pure mobility.
brig literally erases that weakness from existence with no effort. Every other support has to either hit the difficult shots while she’s strafing in air like a mad person, or in the case of no aim heals have to play in a way that isn’t suitable for them:
I.e mercy having to sit there healing the juno. Moira having to fall back to her own backline instead of playing the brawl like she’s meant to. Lucio same thing.
Brig’s design of existing as nothing but a pocket bot for other supports will ALWAYS be a problem. Juno without brig, is 10x easier to deal with because you can actually kill her. You aren’t killing juno brig. It’s the single most untouchable backline, in overwatch history.

I cannot agree more. This hero is obnoxious and they should have delt with her the second she became meta….
Did they learn nothing from ow1?..…
She does wayyyy waaayyyy too much healing.
ML7 has won more game on brig this season than any other support and he doesn’t even know brig that well
I blame streamers…. Oh how they whined and complained about kiri an arguably healthier hero to counter tracer…. But… some hero had to replace kiri if she’s in the trash. Ya that hero is Brig and she can do Kiris job with way less skill required

Because her kit didn’t inherently have mechanics that were unfun to deal with, except maybe the homing missiles. And even those require a charge up time where she can’t use her gun at all.
Her numbers are just too high. The only nerf I’ve really noticed if I’m being honest is the falloff nerf.
And yet the juno has a higher pick rate
Brig has the clear weakness of limited range and mobility. Which Juno pretty much completely erases
Stop acting like it’s not a 2 way street lol
Even without brig, Juno is one of the best supports in the game. And without Juno, brig is… compositionally and map dependent

Juno is peak OW support design. No reworks needed. Her mobility CD is S tier. I’d never trade that for something like Pharah flight. Would destroy her entire kit for me.

Don’t you dare touch Juno.
I have basically one tricked her since she came out and she has become my favorite support to play.

Nah. It was that you saw her in one too many games and you saw other people complaining for the same reason, so you joined them. There’s nothing wrong with her design.

Yeah, I’d like some headshots. She doesn’t feel skillful at all.
it would be awesome if we would lean stronger into the Auto aim part of her kit and making it more rewarding focusing on your tank.
