Yes, the best players in the game are still gamers. It’ll take time till they adjust and then they’ll get it. There are a few talented people at the top but most got there through determination. This is gaming we’re talking about, not real sports.
Yes yes. You just realized it faster than the best players in the game. Totally agree with you. You’re so smart.
She’s still going to be nerfed.
I mean, it’s almost inevitable that heroes get nerfed in this game. Yet Juno is one of the most balanced supports in the entire game if not the most balanced and innocuous by design.
Of all the heroes to complain about, juno isn’t it.
You’ll learn to hit her one day if you keep grinding the game. It’s really not that hard.
Juno is overpowered and demonstrably over performing.
I’d counter and say you’ll learn that you’re wrong on the matter
But to be honest I don’t believe you’ll ever be good enough to understand that you’re wrong.
Maybe you’re right and you’ll never learn to hit juno. I don’t think they should nerf heroes just because low skill players struggle with them though.
Cool.
But I’m not advocating for the inevitable nerfs that Juno will get because she’s difficult to kill, or because low rank players “struggle” with her.
I’m advocating for the nerfs Juno will inevitably get because she’s demonstrably overpowered.
Hopefully they don’t nerf her survivability. But you never know with these developers.
She’s not “overpowered”
Overpowered ≠ Over performing
Release Brig was overpowered.
Release Sojourn was overpowered.
Juno is just over performing and that not really by herself.
Dive is doing well already and it’s doing well because Juno is doing well.
And Juno is doing well, because Brig is doing well, since her entire survivability is dependent on Brig.
And naturally Brig is doing well because dive is good.
Juno’s low death rate at high ranks is not due to her mobility at all. She has no form of self healing or cc, meaning a single D.Va farting on her, pops her like a balloon.
Her mobility is nice but still really easy to track and chase especially as a dive hero…
It’s the fact that anywhere above diamond, Juno won’t be played without Brig, it’s gameplay sabotage at this point if you don’t pair her with Brig, as just a Sombra can render you entirely useless.
Juno needs massive nerfs to just about every part of her kit.
She’s almost as bad as launch Brig.
Junos current pick/win rates are rivaling what Brig had on her launch as far as we can see on public stats.
Shes basically the most picked support (and hero) in the game at pretty much every rank. To go with this she has an exceptionally high win rate- again, at pretty much every rank.
She is dominating T500 lobbies.
She is dominating professional levels of play.
The current meta of the game, is enabled by Juno.
This isnt a hero that is “slightly over performing”. This hero is dominating- Much like brigitte did.
Now thankfully, unlike brigitte- Junos mechanics are pretty healthy overall. Shes not some inherently broken mechanical mess of a hero. Her numbers are just too good.
so nerf brig? its not juno s problem.
and we can nerf her and make brig mandatory for juno.
like we did with ashe and souj or temp with hanzo. (with mercy)
“Baby nerfs?” She needs the hammer to both her healing and damage output. Right now she’s not just “meta at high ranks,” she’s dominating the whole entire entire ladder and pro play, and she’s doing so in every teamcomp, while consistently putting up ridiculous stats.
Like, I like Juno and I hope she’s always a strong pick… but it’s crazy how shamelessly biased people are about her balance state.
Brig’s pickrates after her launch fell completely on their own like a month later after everybody stopped playing Dive.
And that was BEFORE she started getting hard nerfed.
That’s because she’s actually a useful hero and has good healing output that doesn’t come at the cost of speed utility or being close by.
If they nerfed her values, she wouldn’t even be able to outheal QP player dps while hard focusing the heal target. let alone top 500 players.
I don’t think you’ve really played enough juno to understand how effective she actually is. Just knee jerking to stats while you play the forums instead of the game.
Over powered heroes tend to be quite “useful”.
I think it’s more like, high level players benefit more from the utility she has to offer compared to basic stuff like res, damage boost, moira output, or any other support pretty much.
Juno is for sure the healthiest designed support and as I said, very innocuous. The higher level the players, the more they will benefit from her kit.
It just makes sense that she has a really high pickrate at high level play. It’s not because she is overpowered, it’s just that she has the most useful toolkit by far.
Is this bad? What’s wrong with a hero being a must pick at high level? Lower skill level players will experience less benefit from her kit relative to the best players, so other supports are more relevant as the ranks go down. It’s not the values of the utility that make juno so good, but the nature of the utility itself.
Juno is both the most enjoyable support to play, and the least annoying to play against.
Changing her healing output or damage output isn’t going to offset the benefits of her speed boost.
She has a high pick and win rate at all levels of play. From metal ranks, to high ranks, to t500. Shes a must pick in pro play. Shes the anchor point of the meta.
She is overpowered.
She will be nerfed.
Doubt it. She started out weak, they buffed her, then they nerfed her because they overbuffed her. Now she’s fine.
Winrate and pickrate mean nothing, if she is being picked in every single game then she is winning every single game. If people are losing by not picking her, they should have just picked her.
Of all the heroes to have as a must pick, juno is the best possible one.
Thats not how public stats work my friend.
Totes not the hallmark of an overpowered hero.
Im all glad to argue juno is a healthy design for the game. In fact, ive made that same argument myself:
But a “healthy” character can still be an overpowered character- And thats a balance issue that should be addressed.
I’ve been maining juno in plat.
Any game i vs a team with no juno, its an absolute steamroll 90% of the time. I end the round with most heals, damage and elims out of supports.
The only reason imo that i haven’t abused this hero to an easy full rank up is because 90% of my games the enemy also has a juno.
She is extremely powerful.
