Sometimes I wish Junkrat was never buffed.

i wish junkrat was more about landing his pipes over his mines. grenade launcher is much more satisfying than mines and traps. it’d be cool if his pipes moved faster and bounced less (or did less dmg per bounce, focusing more on landing directs)

I have 1 tricked Junkrat since season 2, I just didn’t state the fact I’m a Junkrat 1 trick because I wanted to see what people woild say when they didn’t know I 1 tricked him.

Let’s go back to having him do self-damage. Maybe not with his mines; but RIP Tire should do self-damage at least.

Playing him before felt special and now that everyone is able to do great with him he has just lost that spark.

That is a horrible idea
I’d be fine with going back to 1 mine that does 120 damage
But self damage makes no sense for him sense he is SUPPOSE to be a close quarters combat hero, so why should he be punished where he works best?

Id be fine with going back to JR single mine… I was a JR main at launch and loved it.

If you want to buff him though, keep single mine at full dmg but lower its CD a little.

Yeah, while I still 1 trick him because I’m not amywhere near Diamond skill level with mu other heros, he has definetly lost most of the spark an joy it was to play him before when i was always called a god.
But now people are like “You only play him for his buffs”(I swapped to PC seaosn 7, so it’s hard to prove the the stubborn Hotheads of PC that i 1 tricked him since season 2, and hit masters(staying in it for awhile once) BEFORE he was buffed))

I totally agree. I think his kit was just fine, but misunderstood by the majority of players. The only thing he needed was faster cast and movement on his riptire.

What they’ve done to his mine(s) is pointless noodling.

The buff just lowered the bar and got more people interested but then they stuck around, put in the time and came to really understand his kit, but it was over powered.

Junk needed some help, but whether or not they went about it in the right way is another story…

I honeslty think the tire speed increase was needed, and the wall climbing thing was nice - post nerf, the endless tire across the map crap was silly lol

Nevertheless, as frustrating as it can be for someone who requires little to no aim to be so effective, I still think it’s good to have characters like Junk in-game for people who have bad net, can’t aim, or just enjoy the nature of the bomby spam hehe…as long as the spam isn’t too outrageous, which I don’t think it is atm, but it can feel like a bit much when you’re on the losing side of it lol. :bomb::bomb::bomb:

The problem is that Junkrat is never encouraged to switch even when countered, for every time you kill him he has killed your teammates twice over so he has nothing to lose. Literally the most shoot and forget type of hero.

On D.va, I’ll bully a pharah to switch, a Widow to switch, etc. But I can never recall bullying a junkrat to switch…probably because he’s getting enough “I’m being effective” kills to satisfy himself.

Can’t tell you how many junks will spam DM, but I guess I would too if you know your spam will eventually outlast DM and kill SOMEONE eventually, randomly…ugh. lol

Nah. I like the extra mobility in it all.

It’s pretty cool to see a meh Junkrat, and then a good Junkrat.

I’ve seen some where they just jump in, I get destroyed, and they’re out again… They knew the best way to maximize damage, and I honestly couldn’t be angry.

I would have preferred they just gave him the mine nerf and 2 traps at once and 2 charges instead of having 2 mines.

I can understand not liking the damage the mines do but I love the mobility he has now.

You can pull off a lot of fun tricks with the mines on more open maps.

And frankly if you’re close enough to the junkrat to get a mine to the face post-nerf, that’s on you.

Then they should remove self-damage for Zarya and 76s right click, and Pharah’s self-damage. Otherwise, the game’s logic about explosive splash damage is inconsistent. But that’s a separate debate.

I like that double mines give Junk more mobility. But I could go either way on reverting his mine to the way it was.

people who want junkrat to be nerfed even further have to understand that it wont just affect junkrat but the entire game balance. he’s is essentially the only hero standing in the way of quad tanks being the absolute dominant meta. ppl have bad memory so they don’t remember that tank meta was even more boring and complained about than dive. that’s why Ana was nerfed so hard and yet to recover till this day.
