Hi,
i just played a few team deathmatch games since the last patch, but since then junkrat seems to be able to place his trap inside of Mei while she froze herself (Shift-Ability).
Most of the players i approached argued that it was no bug, but an intended change. Is this right? (I couldn’t find any reference to it in the patchnotes)
Anyone have any clue about this? (Another buff to Junkrat seems unlikely and since mei had issues with floating in deathmatches…)

Well, if it’s different than it used to be, and isn’t in the patch notes, I’m going to go ahead and call it a bug.
It’s not clear if this is a bug or not.
Invulnerability abilities, like Mei’s Cryo-Freeze and Reaper’s Wraith Form, should make the hero immune to damage and CC.
Junkrat’s trap is a different story though.
It’s the only ability in the game that can ignore invulnerability abilities.

As you guys can see in the videos, were these clips recorded during the Junkenstein event. But to be honest, Junkrat’s trap has always worked this way. This is why I’m not sure if it is a bug or not, because this is how it has worked since day 1.
Well, I don’t think that’s the case here. Since it’s worded as though Mei is in cryo, and the trap is placed after she’s frozen, so as soon as she pops out she’d be snapped on
He’s clearly talking about being able to place a trap in the iceblock:
Snapping on Mei when she is leaving her iceblock has always been the case.
A bit unrelated, but did you know you can free yourself by placing an Icewall below it? Not many players seems to know this trick.
I did, and this LOOKS like how it’s always functioned, unless it acts differently than the videos show.
You can also cryo on top of a sleeping player to shield them until they wake up, and block dva bombs with cryo too!
I just recorded that gameplay, and I have been trying for almost 15 minutes to get the bug. I didn’t encountered it.
I love Mei’s Cryo-Freeze. A small question. Could Junkrat always place mines on the iceblock? I cant remember it, but he can right now.
I think so, yeah. Then after it breaks, it falls to the floor and can be exploded at any point
