Junkrat shot mine combo should be nerfed

I think we should make a list with the community wich all the things who are not fun and unbalanced and the devs should orientate on our feedback if it makes sense.
I mean Roadhog also didnt get a 100% kill after hook everytime. It was unfun
so it was nerfed.

My first one is Junkrat the combo with one shot then throw a mine is so cheap and feels bad. Its more worse then flash and fan the hammer in my opinion.
Reduce mine damage or Junks damage. If you reduce mine damge increase trap damage. To still alow him to kill people with mine trap.

Then Storm arow also really really cheap ability.

Yes Junkrat literally cannot defend himself at long range, let’s also remove his ability to defend himself at close range. Sounds like a plan.

Suggestions of that line of thought : Make symmetra right click melee perfectly timed combo not kill teacers as tracers just doe instantly!

Half Bastions dps and make switching between forms take 5 seconds

Make orisa’s fortify last 0.5 seconds

No don’t nerf the damage. Nerf how easy it is to get that remaining 80 damage off. Reduce the blast radius by .5m (rework the damage scaling accordingly) and buff either the cooldown times or projectile speed on his primary.

He’s not one of the worst in the game. He’s one of the most niche in the game. He’s pretty strong in his niche of chokepoint maps. He’s meh at best outside of that.

Definetely not the worst hero in the game and his existence makes tanks and certain dps/supports life miserable with the stupidly easy to apply combo

if you let him do that, its your own fault

meanwhile there are heroes who wished they have at least 1/3 of his damage, power, mobility, ultimate potential, annoyance etc

Hes far away from being one of the worst heroes in game. He performs well from Bronze to Dia thats my expirence also riptire charges fast and is a strong ult who gets kills easy,

Like the combo isn’t doing much to tanks.

If anything their the most equiped to deal with his explosive habits.

Like block/DM his mine and he can’t do much.

Junkrat is actually really strong. He just gets countered by hitscan at the highest ranks. Nerf hitscan and it would show strong he really is.

By hitscan, flankers, air heroes… but hey, he is good against the other … 2 or 3!

Junkrat is supposed to be a hero that can fend off opponents through this close range combo. It’s literally in his design that he’s weak to long-range attacks and extremely strong while hugging opponents. Best example is that Wrecking Ball absolutely destroys Junkrat, but if he gets trapped or bumps into him at very close range, the matchups makes a 180

Baby D.Va now has 1000 hp, no weapon, and gets a movement penalty for taking damage. This also means she falls off ledges 1.5 times slower.

Its a combo that requires him to hit a direct AND sacrifice a mobility tool in favor of damage which is only at its most consistent at close range. If he nailed you at mid-ranges with that, that’s on you and not on the junkrat.

My guess this complaint is because you had a junkrat dive on you and erase you or tried diving a Junkrat and he erased you. Here’s a thought - stop letting the first happen and don’t do the second.

Junkrat’s “low skill = high reward” spam - infested play style that has been rightfully holding him back for years now balance - wise is more of a problem, but I certainly do agree with the OP up to an extent.

Ideally, the devs should reduce the time between his projectiles getting fired and them exploding, which would therefore eliminate his Spamrat play style once and for all. Then they can reduce the blast radius of Concussion so it actually takes effort and timing in order to pull off Junkrat’s one - shot combo on more than 1/2 of the roster.

The only thing remaining after that would be to fix the bug that mutes Tire’s sound effects if you bash it against a wall, therefore making it even more difficult to destroy.

What? No. That is absolutely terrible. He already has to predict. If he predicts correctly, why should he be PUNISHED For that? You guys want him to aim more, and then you don’t? You can’t have it both ways.
