Can we actually put Junkrat in a spot where he gets a real nerf this time instead of the fake one last time, He even kills as he dies, Can a game hold a players hand any harder jeez, If you are going to rework Hog and sombre at least deal with the actual vile piece of toxicity currently spamming in every game, I know Blizzard are scared as the majority of pay pig casuals rely on him to live the life of illusion and game skill but at some point you are going to need show that skill actually matters in this game, I know comp is dead but can we at least fix what little is left.
Why would you want to hug someone who can literally apply 200~ burst damage to your face when you attempt that.

Have you tried not walking into his predictable spam, not chasing him into tiny rooms/hallways, and not jumping on his corpse the second he dies?
Junkrat is absolute dog water once you get out of plat, why the hell would he even need any nerfs? His martyrdom passive is incredibly easy to react to in time and move out of the damn way.
Tbh, the only thing I don’t like about Junkrat is his primary fire + mine oneshot combo. Makes it so that the moment he gets close to you, you’re instantly dead. I’m surprised people are less upset about that than “he spams the choke and I can’t use my legs for whatever reason.”
It’s the principle of why should he have it so easy in the first place when the majority in the roster have some level of risk, a junkrat in most cases can just peek spam and get cheese kills with near zero effort, In a game that demands a level of skill it’s a slap in the face for those who actually put the time and effort, No character should have a mechanic than when they die equals to a cheap bomb kill than wasn’t even the players doing, Too many times I’ve seen it literally change a match outcome even if the team killed him, It’s just bad game flow, plus his soft homing bombs with mini AOE is just getting old and needs to be narrowed in to not grant fake accuracy damage , his limp acts as a way of nulling hits too, Iv’e seen widows shoot him at full charge and its cancelled out due to the Limp glitch, Still not fixed.
Not every fight needs to be taken.
Aside from Reaper having his own identity crisis his shotguns deal not that inconsistent damage @ mid range, basically poke to death.
Neither has free reign to kill the other at leisure as both have their ways to bail.

He has limits on his burst potential and he trades his burst with mobility.
Same with walking into his spam / easily punishable small corridors.
He isn’t a widow, he won’t consistently 1hit you out in the open or across large open spaces.

What’s up with Junk being complained about lately? He’s literally barely ever in my games anymore, and when he is, he gets demolished by all the burst damage. Why is he a problem now and why does he need to be nerfed?

Even before plat imo. In gold what generally happens is that someone picks Junkrat, doesn’t really do much of anything, then swaps to one of S76/Bastion/Hanzo/Cassidy/Ashe.
I’d like it if they gave him a bit of something-something. Personally I’d be inclined to replace bear trap, but I’m not a Junkrat player so what do I know.
People will complain about the combo if Junk starts appearing more often. It happened in season one until he got nerfed.
For me, I don’t have a problem playing around Junk’s murder zone on most maps. I’ve been binging on the Sombra rework and only fallen foul of the combo once so far, and that’s because I was outright disrespectful of Junk’s awareness and thought I could gank the Ana.
It’s the matter of principle and consistency something hypocrites in this game tend to conveniently excuse away.
I’m assuming you are only referring to mechanical skill, and more specifically only consider aim as a skill, but what in the world gave you this impression?
From day 1 Overwatch has had numerous characters that had very low aim requirements, and instead thrived on gamesense. Gamesense is a skill, for example the knowledge and foresight to not walk into completely predictable Martyr nades.

I think the issue with Junkrat is that the higher you climb the more creative you have to get with him to make him work, I’ve honestly have played with some incredibly insane rats that can make him work in master but most of them usually tell me that it feels like wasted effort. IDK what they’d need to do with him honestly since he is a hard hero to balance since if you give him the slightest buff the bronze-silver players will riot.
