It’s also easy to get shot as Junkrat.
Only one projectile is slower than his. And I think it got buffed actually, so Junk may be the slowest projectile shooter.

heh i suck as the dude but yea i have minimal time on him. i think like 2 hours at the most? have to check
he is fun a bit but im like no where near what a person who mastered the hero can do. ive seen some junkrats own lobbies and im like yea thats not me
before the global changes i mean. now he is dangerous but only if you try to go into his domain. short corridors but yea i think he is way weaker than before season 8. global changes messed up everything. also the sombra rework imo, wish we could go back to before both of those (err yea … because i play widow 
)
Junkrat is probably one of the hardest heroes these days. Just because he sucks. Bad heroes are harder to use than good ones…

How is junkrat doing in lower tiers? Because he’s always been complained about there.
i dont think he is that bad since people like to walk into mines/traps (junkrats stuff) and tank damage. tanks and dps alike lol… so a junkrat spamming where the enemy group is usually works
dont think he is great either tho in low elos i mean. still a good pick on some situations, also since low elos people cant aim as good. i miss sometimes as widow … sorry
I have no idea. People still play him, but it’s just difficult to tell how ANYONE does in this game because you can use literally any hero and soft throw for wins in “favored” lobbies and play the game of your life and lose in “unfavorable” lobbies. I have won with a Junkrat partner while I was on Reaper against double pocketed fliers (Mercy and Zen). It just depends on how good the team is to be perfectly honest. Individual impact is lowkey irrelevant in this day and age. I do not care how much of a conspiracy theory it is. It’s the truth.

Junkrat sucks more in the lower ranks, but people complain because dying seemingly randomly feels worse than dying to things that are actually overpowered and easy.
Hitscans dominate the lower ranks, just like everywhere else.
Junk for sure has a low skill floor but his skill floor is in the top 5 for dps only beaten out by heros like tracer genji and echo. Yes junks easy to get vlaue with but to be effective with god no

You dont even need great aim with hitscans, especially not with the season 9 buffs. It is even harder to hit with projectile heroes, where people in the lower ranks are almost 100% crossing their fingers and depending entirely on luck, which is not a good position to be in.
His projectile is half the speed of the second slowest.

when you can cap a point, push a whole payload, win game, queue for next, eat lunch, to to supermarket and back, go back to your PC,
and the projectile from Junkrat still hasn’t hit you,
sure makes Junkrat very easy to play,

Probably why hes so popular!
Hes one of my favorites to play, especially at close/mid-range combat.
Junkrat is just not fun this season. Not even in the slightest. I do not play him this season. He is far too frustrating to play when other heroes are so much easier to get value on. Junkrat has to work extra, extra hard and still be trash.
Anybody who thinks Junkrat needs a nerf at this point needs some serious help. MAJOR skill issues.
